Not the best at lectures, but she is pretty chill professor. Eng. Analysis II is rough but she does replace test with final so just keep grinding till the end. HW and quiz was easy. Highly recommend signing up for tutoring (Calc 2). probably the reason why i passed. Its gonna be even tougher in 3171. RIP.

Dr. Sharer takes off points on reports for no apparent reason. Instead of being in an engineering class I feel like I am in an English class. Forces all students to work in a team, and I guarantee you that your grade will suffer. If she taught by inspiration instead of intimidation we'd all be better off.

For all those that gave Dr. Sharer a poor rating I can guarantee that you did not make an effort to learn the material. If you cannot handle her tests or homework assignments then you'll probably fail in the field of engineering. The material that is presented in her classes is relevant and practical.

She is a horrible professor. She is not clear on any instructions and believes that she is smartest person who ever lived. She will take off points for no apparent reason but just to give you a bad grade. She seems to take her frustrations out on students grades and assignments. avoid her at all cost, she is one of the worst professors ever

Dr Sharer does not teach in any organized manner. Her notes do not follow her lectures and there is no book to follow along with. Most of the information I received I found on my own. Distance ed students had videos that did not show the board. It seemed as though we did not matter. She does not take constructive critism to make class better.

Dr Sharer has no business teaching. If you are a distance ed student, her lectures are impossible to follow. She repeatedly wrote examples on the board that were not displayed on the video and she constantly referred to things by pointing off camera. After receiving complaints she shut down the discussion board. I will drop any class she teaches.

Excellent teacher. She really knows the material and can explain it clearly! Made a difficult subject interesting and fun. Not easy but very fair and always available when you need additional help. if you want learn take this class,if you don't like math believe me you will.

This teacher is very horrible. When she is teaching in class, she rarely does examples unless asked by the class to do so. When she does the lecture for the class, she has supposedly rewrote a lot of the information from our textbook and just reads that verbatim. I was hoping that another teacher would have taught the class but I guess it is ok.

I'm pretty sure as long as you are in the ETEE curriculum you won't be able to avoid her. I could tell she cared, but her teaching style sucks big time. She will help you if you go see her. Doing the homework will save you. She allows for cheat sheets on tests, however the rarely do you any good. Best advise is to let her know you are trying.

By far one of the worst teachers I've had at UNCC. Made a difficult topic even worse by confusing the ENTIRE class. Made an attempt to help students by holding review sessions before each test, but they were often of no help. Only passed the class thanks to a HUGE curve.
