Comment:

Absolutely wonderful! She is a no nonsense, firecracker of a professor and I love her. She is in her early 60's and has done marriage and family counseling for many many years, so she knows what she is talking about. Listen and pay attention and you will do fine. Follow the APA guidelines for papers,she's a stickler for that.

I have taken Dr. McAdory for all four classes that she teaches and really enjoy her. In the beginning she seems intimidating but she really cares and wants you to excel. Her feedback on papers is really helpful and uplifting. Also, major exams will be take home but writing intensive. I've done really well in her class but I also enjoy writing!

Though you have a lot of projects and papers to do. I will tell anyone that she is a very good teacher. Her class is very interesting and I can guarantee that anyone who takes her class will indeed have a good marriage if you take her advice. First of all, this class is writing intensive. Second of all, she grades hard on grammar. Third, if you cannot write grammatically correct papers, then maybe you shouldn't be in college. In my opinion, every teacher should grade hard on grammar in college. She is an excellent teacher and exemplifies teaching quality that is uncommon in society

Loved her class. She is very very very educated in the subject of marriage and the family and couples relationships. She has been a marriage counselor for more than 40 years,and at 63,this woman is on fire in the class room.I enjoyed her energy and her enthusiasm on the subject.Everyone should take this class before they even consider marriage.

She is highly opinionated and doesn't like listening to any other opinions she disagrees with. She starts class BEFORE the given time and you better make sure you tell her you were there and she doesn't change grades so don't even try to talk to her about your paper. she will blow you off every time you try to talk to her about your grades.

I don't know why all these people are saying she's a great professor and entertaining. She's absolutely horrible! She's way too verbal about her political views, condemning the military and the president constantly,and proposing that we legalize protitution in Alabama. If you don't agree with her, she try to make you look like a fool.The worst!!!

Dr. McAdory has been the most insightful professor. She always keeps it real, and she is halarious. On the other hand, she is not very clear at all. She will not elaborate on what is expected, and usually blows you off if you ask. expect to ask your classmates alot of ?s. I would recommend her class to anyone, but always be prepared!

this teacher was awful. she likes to have in-class debates, yet when you bring up an opposing viewpoint, she quickly cuts you off and/or changes the topic. she's very opinionated and very liberal. as long as you write all of your papers from the liberal or radical viewpoint, you should be fine. expect to watch news and discuss in class.

Dr. McAdory is a good teacher and I enjoyed her class. She likes to have class discussions and wants all her students to participate. We only had two quizzes(True/False) and some papers. Make sure to follow the paper guidelines or she will take off points. The final was to write a paper on different topics.

Hated this class. Highly opinionated. Likes to have debates in class, but if you bring up an opposing viewpoint, she quickly changes the topic. Expects you to speak in class. Dr. McAdory is one of the most entertaining and engaging instructors at South. She can go on tangential diatribes now and then but they are always awesome. She sometimes says crazy things but when it comes to Sociology she's always pretty on the money. She likes it when you speak up in class, and you get better grades the better she knows you.

She is a self-proclaimed radical. She claims to want to hear all opinions but gets upset if yours don't match hers. Your grade is based on papers, so if you can write, you'll be ok. Be prepared for lots of crazy ideas, like rats coming out of the river to kill and eat small children. You never know what she'll say next. Just think outside the box!
