Such a nice person. Just had a few readings and 5 short papers. Gives good information about writing a thesis. Grades a bit too nicely, I would have liked some more critical feedback. Has a nice voice that relaxes anyone who hears it.

Not a bad professor. She tends to grade not too easy and provides not a lot of feedback to support it. Two group projects and a lot of lecture with a lot of notes. One research paper which wasn't bad. She's pretty helpful overall.

Dr. Kowal is a ragging liberal, but it doesn't make her a bad person. She is very knowledgable and loves what she teaches. Her classes are hard; write papers ahead of time and edit them.

I think that Donna is a great teacher. She knows what she wants and sticks to it, which is hard to get used to. I didn't like the first time I took a class with her but the second time around I had a blast. She knows her stuff and if you do to you'll enjoy her classes more.

I didn't find a leftist stance present. She was very respectful of all opinions and kept her personal politics out of discusions, almost to a fault. Her class was my favorite, even though it was very hard and sometimes frustrating.

She is a good professor, but she has a hard time keeping her personal politics quiet. She tends to choose leftist texts and treats them as fact. She doesn't intentionally stop opposing ideas, but sometimes does unintentionally. If you disagree but state it intelligently, she will respect you!

Dr. Kowal is a good, equal teacher. She definately pushes for alot of class participation. But for the most part, if you do the readings and pay attention in class, your golden. There are also only 2 tests- very good for the busy people out there!

Dr. Kowal helped me define my career path. I disagreed with her often yet she always encouraged students to defend their positions. Excellent professor if you truly want to be challenged.
