Terrible. Doesn't test on relevant material to what he lectures on. All tests are open book, although no one will ever receive a perfect grade. Doesn't test on anything that was lectured all tests are out of "the bin." This guy ruined my GPA. No homework, and forgets to test. Doesn't show up prepared or sometimes, at all. He should not teach at all

this guy is a good teacher he talks alot and explains crimes so you understand. i'm going to take him whenever i can he doesn't ask for alot of homework just to read your book about what you are going to talk about the next class and he undrstands if you show up late for class

Didn't like him. He's very disorganized. I go to class to LEARN, not sit there and hear dumb stories that never make any sense. He gave maybe one or two quizzes the whole semester and didn't take attendance. He's boring to listen to and hard to follow at times. He never stays on point and if you ask a question he barely answers it.

Professor Pettis doesn't exactly teach out of your book...he comes right into the room, and starts lecturing what he experiences as a lawyer. He tends to repeat himself a little bit, but he gets his point across. Very smart, but a little disorganized, in my opinion. I have been in his class for weeks and he still hasn't come up with a quiz or test.

This guy is the man. He's like a mix of pee wee herman, and the principle from problem child. I would take every class with this guy if I could. He a little repdative, but thats because he lets everyone skip his class. Just show up once a week and you'll do fine. Pettis, YOU ARE THE MAN!!

I took him while I was at CCRI and he was great! If I could take him again, I would! He's very easy going professor, very helpful, and yes he repeats things over and over again but he does that for a reason! His final will kick your ass!!
