I got an A in the class. Some things I must warn all future paralegal majors of: I worked full time in a law office during the summer. It is not what you learn in the paralegal classes. You spend all day working with clients(mostly mean)and it is draining. My attorney's words: the program does not teach 90% of what you should learn about legal work

WONDERFUL!!!! This teacher goes the extra mile for the students. I have her for Litigation and I got a D on my midterm, but she really helped me pull my grade to a B by helping my after class with assignments and explaining concepts to me.

I loved Dr. Tackett. I also have her for litigation right now. She is so funny. She does grade assignments hard but she does it to help you. I got a "D" on my first legal memo if that tells you anything! She did put a lot of comments on it though to help me the next time. I love her. I will miss her when I graduate. So funny.

Dr. Tackett is the greatest. She's fun and makes any class enjoyable. She's a great help with assignments and understanding the information presented in class. However, there aren't many assignments, so you must do well on exams to do well in the class. Family law is great!

Comment:
Dr. Tackett is a joy to be around, her approach to law is fresh and invigorating, and she is willing to go the extra mile for students. However, no one should expect her to help those who are unwilling to help themselves. Her classes are great in preparation for law school or as a paralegal.

This professor is horrible. We went over the exact same things all semester, and we were forced to go to around 7 events when my friends only had to go to 2 and 3. I wrote about 15 reports for this class and it was orientation. Change major, just don't take this class.
