I LOVE DR MCMAHAN. She's a little whacky but in a funny way. Since it's once a week and a freshman oriented class, attendance is mandatory. She truly cares about her student's success. Don't be late to her class because she usually calls you out but in a funny way. For example, one dude was late and he had to sing "Party In the USA"

Great instructor! Splits you up based on how well or how poorly you swim. I saw her teach at least 4 or 5 people in my class to swim! Works with you, some classes are hard and tough, but she will counterbalance with fun activities. I plan to take PHE 313 with her before I graduate! She will help you with anything, class related or not! GREAT!!!!!

Coach Mac is quite a neat professor at the pool. Sure she will push you to your LIMIT but also based on your swimming ability she will accommodate and work with you ,just don't be afraid, show up, swim, and do what she says and you can walk out with a good grade and the fact you have learned something, not to mention the fact u'll be in gr8 shape

Mrs Mcmahan is GREAT!!! This professor will treat you like a person! Whenever I was in her class, I felt like I could be myself around others. You will definitely learn alot from this woman!! It was one of the first classes I felt like I could fit in!

I finally learned to swim thanks to her! She's a good teacher and makes sure that you never give up trying something new. Also don't say "I can't" in her class because it can get scary. Just show up and swim and you can get an easy A.

A word to the wise - if you can't swim well before taking this class, enroll in the HPR 282 swimming class first. Quit smoking and eat right.
