If you struggle at all in math, I would highly recommend Mr. Deaton. He really takes the time to work out a problem every way possible, in an effort to make sure everyone can understand it because lets face it was is clear to me, maybe clear as mud to you. But seriously if you have been struggling take Deaton!

Mr. Deaton is just an all around nice guy and a great teacher. I hated math before and really didn't get it but after his class, I got it! He takes time to help anyone who needs it and cares about his students. Arrange your schedule to take his math class(es)!

Awesome. I hate math so very badly!! He made it understandable. I learned so much in his class. I don't get in the fetal position anymore when I have to deal with math. You will learn a lot, have fun, and get a decent grade if you show up and put forth some effort.

Eric Deaton is by far the coolest teacher I have had in two years at Eastern. His teaching methods are clear and easy to follow and his class is worth taking. Deaton is a riot. I found him to be very amusing and charming. He's a quiet guy but knows how to get his class' attention and is so cool you'll wanna hang out w/ him after class. VOTE FOR DEATON'05

He was a very good teacher. I really like math, but even if I didn't I don't think I would have had a problem with this class. He taught things very well, and gave everyone in the class a chance to ask questions. He gave a lot of chances for bonus points before the test and test day...as well as make up tests.
