Comment:

He has had his ups and downs for me as a director in THE 103. Howard is very smart, friendly, and always willing to help you out. He's silly too, and likes to say "wheeeee" when excited, but, he's very strict about timeliness, and once made me sit out of rehearsal for two hours once when I was two minutes late. Overall, he's nice, but watch out!

This is a terrible class to attend, but it is worth taking. Waking up to go to class at 8AM and being cramped into laws 100 was miserable. However, my exam gardes were 70. 69, 72, and 90 and i got an A in the class.

Blanning is the man. he's hilarious. Huge class, laws 100, no leg room, always 8 AM, attendence mandatory, and you need to read the plays. 3 exams, NO FINAL, one paper, and extra credit opportunities. if you dont have a problem with any of this, you'll get an A and you'll get the fine art miami plan requirement.

There are better classes to take if you want an easy A. I had to wake up at 8AM just to go back to sleep for 90 minutes. I tried to pay attention, but it is just so boring, and 95% of the information is completely irrelevant. The tests are about 75% lecture notes and 25% plays. With that said, anyone with a pulse should get an A in this class.

This class was easy but I didn't learn anything. He completely ignored the syllabus, never gave us any instruction and was the weirdest person I have ever met. If you want an easy class to fulfill your fine arts requirement I'd definitely recommend it. But to be honest, this class was so frustrating I don't think the grade was worth it.

The class is a breeze, and I highly recommend it if you just want to get your fine arts credit out of the way. Blanning is a great teacher, who is humorous and knows his theater. It sucks getting up at 8 AM but it is worth the easy A.

A bit odd but funny at the same time, a great professor who is passionate and knowledgeable about theater. The tests are hard due to the fact he picks quotations which are not always relevant to the play. Read the plays and you should do okay. Not much homework except reading the plays. I would recommend him.

Howard is the man!! He is one of the funniest professors and this class is worth taking just to hear his random stories. It is sometimes hard because the class is at 8:00 in the morning, but as long as you read the plays and see the required performances, you will get an A.

As long as you read the plays in this class you'll get an A. Extra credit towards the end boosts you almost a whole letter grade. It's a tough walk to Presser at 8 a.m., but you MUST take this class to fulfill your fine arts credit. Enjoy his stories, especially about goats. They are the best!
