he is the worst professor i've ever had at FMU! DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! his test are hard and he is so boring! Sometimes he talks so low you can't hear him. In lab he doesn't explain things like he should. He is HORRIBLE!!!!!!

I've had Dr. Rae for a few classes and don't understand some of the negativity! Dr. Rae is very knowledgeable and helpful. Yes, his tests are from the notes, but they don't have to be word for word...you have to understand the material. It's college, not kindergarten.

Comment:

Dr. Rae is a very good professor. Lecture can be boring, especially in the morning, but his labs are a lot of fun. You are not stuck in the lab for 3 hrs., but out in the field. Some of the labs can run about 5 hrs., but that's just because you have to travel to get to the field trip. He is picky about his tests, but they come right from the notes.

He is slightly scatterbrained, but still a good teacher. All the notes are given on the overhead and the tests are word for word from the notes. It is not an easy class, but it's not hard. It can be quite boring at times, but he tries to explain things so that everyone can understand.

Rae was a very good teacher. He has all the notes on Power Point so that makes the note taking an ease. A lot of the time I caught myself falling asleep though. The only bad thing is the grading. He is very particular on what a person writes for an answer. You have to get it word for word otherwise he marks it wrong.

He is very nice, the only thing is he is hard when grading. His class is very funny, and the field trips help the class to bond. You have to study his notes and write everything word for word to pass. This class is highly recommended!
