Comment:
This is an upper level literature class and is treated like one. Prof Vos-Camy is very caring and insightful, but the material can be hard to grasp and there is a reading and writing assignment before each class. I really enjoyed class discussions and everything that Prof V-C did to make the lessons stick in our minds. Heavy stuff, but taught well.

Vocab quizzes everyday, 10 words from a potential pool ranging from 25-35. Also some grammar hw and listening exercises. The grammar comes out of the textbook. Recite songs for extra credit. A really kind and caring prof, she is very good. If you can take her, do so. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

She's an amazing person and professor. She makes sure that everyone understands the course and grades fairly. They're lots of chances to get extra credit on test by singing or reciting the songs she teaches, as well as culture points that you can get by going to French Dept events. My French was the easiest class I took in my first semester.

Vos-Camy is such a sweet woman, she is a good teacher. There is a lot of little assignments and lots of writing compositions but I have learned more in her class than I have in any other French class.

Prof. Vos-Camy was great! I was dual enrolled when I took her class, and she was extremely understanding of her students. She always took the time to answer any questions and she was very clear on everything. I never had a problem in her class. You definitely need to study in the class, but the class itself is not difficult, Vos-Camy is great!

She is a wonderful and delightful person. However she is a VERY picky grader. She also speaks quickly so if you have trouble with listening, prepare to work on it. She also does everything possible to accommodate those who are having trouble/ are unable to make it to class. #1 suggestion is to study like there is no tomorrow.

I was not expecting the class to be as hard as it was. You must study a ton for every quiz and test because she is a very picky grader. But learning children's songs gives you easy extra credit on the tests.

While she does spend the first bit of each class singing children's songs, this equals easy EC on the tests later. She is reasonable and you have a lot of points in the class ("culture points" are easy and really help your grade). Your grade in this class comes down to this: you must study. Study each chapter; then you will do very well.

Its really more of a writing class. A bit cold and not super motivational, Her tests are unfair...She can be helpful though.

A LOT of work in the class. If you fall behind it's almost impossible to catch up. You learn a lot about French and France. She really knows her French, ask any (and a lot) of questions in her class. There's a lot of writing even though it's a conversation class. Also a lot of listening and answering questions and a lot of phonetics.

I liked Vos Camy. She was very nice and understanding and made class more interesting with all different activities. But it was a hard class, and you have to really work to do well.

Vos-Camy made me hate the French langauge for a semester. I did more writing in her speaking class than I did in my composition class. Thank God the Fetz and Selles saved me from Francophone purgatory.

As cold as ice. Not helpful. Does not go out of her way unless pushed. Gives tests that would make a Frenchman swear. Material on test not always covered in class.
