You read 3-4 chapters take a test (times 4). That is it. No lectures, just PowerPoints. Study the sections he tells you to! No other homework, there was an extra credit paper at the end.

Dobson is the man. If you show up you get to hear some pretty great stories and he teaches the material well. 10 quizzes that are M.C. Not hard at all. Only 1 exam and it's the final he gives you the questions prior too. Study and pass. And get a few laughs. Some quizzes were sign in too. Easy points

Be prepared to write long essays for tests. Give as many details as possible. Mr. Dodson is not lenient when grading the essays. I read all the previous descriptions of Mr. Dodson and none of them mentioned his essay grading style. The syllabus does not provide any type of warning either. So my advice to you is to beware.

Awesome teacher. Very funny. Teaches the class well. Quizzes are out of the book. Test is the quizzes and power points combined. Easy half of test is you memorize the quizzes for unit. Only downfall is he didn't post grades throughout semester. EC for just showing up on random days

Comment:

I've had him for both 349 and 447 and he's probably my favorite professor on campus. You'll definitely want to study but he uses plenty of examples and makes the class interesting to you. I would recommend everyone in the Management department try to take him whenever possible.

TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE!!! The reviews that are bad about this teacher seem to be if you take him in class. He gives less work if you take him online. Lots of 5 Point Quizzes you can take twice.. easy. Making notecards of vocab are great for the Unit Exams, make sure to at least skim the reading for the exam. Awesome class!!

ONLINE Class - Dr. Dobson is very responsive to e-mail and questions. You are able to work at your own pace. Class consisted of 14 quizzes (one for each chapter) 4 tests, and a case analysis paper. Modules must be completed by certain dates, but you are able to work ahead. I recommend Dr. Dobson.

Dr. Joe is the best professor I have had at Western. 447 has no tests or quizzes, but you have to participate on a daily basis in class. You will take so much with you from this class, it's really one of the best ones out there. Dobson is the man!

Print lecture slides out for class, easy to follow. Quiz 1x wk. Tests not so great, review in class even worse. You can read all he says to read, get the test & still not know what the right answers are. (hated his tests) Overall, a really good teacher. Knows his stuff, incorporates funny things into an otherwise boring lecture. (Material very dry)

Dr.Joe is the man. He teaches you what he has to as well as what really goes on in the working world. I have learned a great deal in the three classes i've had with him and would rate him as one of the best teachers in the entire college. You will have to study though to be successful

He is awesome. But dont let his humor and niceness full u...if u dont study, ur screwed, trust me on that. He has quizzes once a week for the most part. No papers. Never goes the full class time. His stories are great and you'll hear a lot about the 3 stooges. BUT u HAVE to study hard for the quizzes and tests!!

Most ridiculous class I have ever taken. Not being a business major and this being the only class I have taken in the college I was very turned off as to the quality of work this teacher had. He doesn't use the full class time and talks really slow. The class could have been over in the first 4 weeks. Don't take if you don't have patience.

I have had him twice and went on his Europe trip. It was awesome! He is so funny and cracks jokes. He is easy to take if you pay attention in class and the notes! He is one of the best teachers I have had in business and throughout college!
