Don't answer a question wrong, she'll get annoyed and rude. Pretty sureI'm taking this class to LEARN. she assumes you should already know everything. Never takes up homework, but that means all your grades are dependent on like two assignments! very stressful!

Wonderful teacher. She really enjoys her field and enjoys teaching it. If you do the assigned work before the next class, you will have no problem getting an A+. Those that were having problems in my class were the ones that hadn't done the homework or read the chapters. You get out of it what you put in, but don't blame the instructor.

Brilliant lady, wants students to understand material. Expects students to actually work for both themselves and the class and study the material. Always willing to help when asked politely. Be sure to actually take the class before this one otherwise she'll leave you in the dust. Gives an excellent review of what will be on the next test.

Dr. Ladd is a confusing teacher. She seems to miss a lot of details that are crucial to understanding and then is very reluctant to go back and explain more clearly. When I asked for help, she referred me to a tutor rather than help me herself.

Dr. Ladd is a great instructor. She's kind of strict but she goes out of her way to make sure she explains everything clearly. She won't hesitate to call you out when you're wrong in class. Her practice tests go with the real tests very well. The class is difficult, but if you make a bad grade, it's your own fault.

Love this class. I thought I had a good background in music going in, but I learned so much. I had trouble with a couple of concepts, and she helped me. I'll admit, the drilling at first was intimidating, but I got used to it. If you have the option, take her for this class.

Dr. Ladd is a decent teacher, but one should know that she runs a tight ship. She is a bit strict, i.e. she does not allow students to wear hats,eat in class, etc. But, overall she teaches well. If you don't likee drilling, do not take her class as that is her primary teaching style.

I had Dr. Ladd for Music Theory 105. I admire her solid and methodical teaching method, but her tendency to spend class time drilling us was a big turn-off. She will teach you music theory, and teach it well, but other motivated and intelligent students might find her style tedious at best.
