Dr. Henson is not an easy professor, getting an A in any of his classes is a challenge, but it can be done if really know how to study multiple choice. Aside from difficult tests, he is pretty good. The only other downside to this professor is you will have long projects with a TON of busy work.

His Software Engg was ridicoulusly tough. Barely managed to answer his questions. If you need good grades do not attend his classes. More than half the college went in C grade. Just for the sake of knowledge he is okay. Goodluck.

He is a great professor! Attend his classes and get a good lab partner. Ask him questions whenever. He is very helpful and works off his schedule to assist students with the course work. His tests have structured questions that are super easy if only you follow along his examples in class.

Great Prof. My favorite CIS instructor by far. Really cares and is super helpful and approachable. Don't need the book, print out and study slides. Pay close attention in class as tests come from lectures. Get a good lab partner, as some labs keep you there a while.

Class is super easy, I've taken my CCNA and this is an intro to networking class yet I have a 80% with a month left to go in the semester. For some reason the tests seem hard. He crams 4 chapters into one test and they focus on redundant information. I'm not the only person that's noticed this. Henson rules though, as a person.

He makes sure that you understand what he is talking about. Sometime software engineering is confusing, and the book is a killer. Very kind, works hard with you....I really like him as a teacher.

Very extensive in the material you are expected to know. But that is because there is a lot of information in the computer world, esp. in the networking aspect. His tests are hard, again extensive. You WILL need to study for these. Plus, there is not much homework. A few labs, the tests and that's about it. Great teacher, fun class. Enjoy!

Grades a little hard. Really knows his stuff and does a good job of teaching some of the most difficult material in the major. I wish he taught *all* of the programming classes in the degree.

Annoying as hell!! He makes me wanna puke with his "happiness." Makes you write down on a notecard what you want him to "pray for" for you. He's great if you already know the material, but very confusing if you don't have any background knowledge. Made us buy a book that costs $90 that we didn't use and they wouldn't buy back.

Gives really tricky tests!! You write 5 programs thruout the semester, and have 3 tests + a final. There are a few announced quizzes. He's not a very organized teacher tho, so keep a copy of everything you turn in, and keep track of your scores - he posts grades VERY rarely.

No tests but atleast one quiz a week. A small individual presentation that is not too difficult. One group presentation that is the final. Be prepared to read to get an A. He doesn't explain the material unless you ask him specific questions.

One of the few american CIS teachers. His problem isn't a heavy accent (if you don't count Texas accent) - he's a hard teacher. His quizzes are really tough! He doesn't word them right either, you can argue over questions and you might get the point back.

Very difficult instrutor. Quiz every week. Doesn't explain each chapter, just asks if anyone has questions about it and then gives you a quiz. You'll study hard for a C or D in here.

Considering the other CIS teachers he's not too bad. You can actually understand what he's saying. Quiz's are very difficult though. With 1 month left in the semester there are no A's and only 3 B's in a class of 40 or so.
