Don't advise taking him if you actually want to learn something. Rambles on and on with no substance to his lectures. If you ask for help he comes off as annoyed and will belittle you for it. If I haven't been dealing with HTML since I was a kid I would've been lost. All your homework can be copied straight from the book.

Kovacs is a great professor! If you're completely new to programming, or Visual Basic, you'll like him. He has a sense of humor, and wants to make things simple and easy for his students. I thought I was going to fail, because I only turned in half of my assignments, yet did GREAT on the exams. Instead, I got a B+ as my overall grade. Great prof =D

Took Network+ online...I found this class amusingly easy, as our only requirements were answering multiple choice questions at the end of chapters...no reading was actually required, which was a disappointment. Also, the 2 tests administered were fairly simple. This is the sort of class that you can ace without a whole lot of work.

I was challenged with this course, Advanced VB, it is an 8 week course. The Prof taught the most pertinent aspects of VB and reviewed the code on the assignments. He told you exactly what to expect and didn't make the desired outcome too hard to achieve.

What can I say, the man is a Rock Star. He helped me learn even more about a subject that I was already familiar with. He is very straight forward in his teaching approach and goes out of his way to help his students. I would take him again for another class is a second.

If you are looking for an easy A, Kovacs is the man. If you are looking to learn alot, then he may not be the professor for you, although this class was online which made it harder to learn since I had to teach myself. He gives you everything you need to get the work done. Nice guy.
