Professor Pangborn wasn't the best teacher. Definitely played favorites, so if you can, get on her good side. She doesn't post grades until the end of the semester because she has no clue how to use technology. She rambles on and on about things nobody cares about. Overall, she's a horrible teacher and gives horrible feedback on essays. don't take

Grading is hilariously unclear, she explains her rubric in the syllabus but the rubric is so subjective it makes you think she just gives the papers she enjoys higher marks. Her lectures are awful, drowning out class time with ramblings that often go off topic and are not helpful in the students progression in her class. All in all awful professor

she will give you papers to write with no context on what to include or even write about. rambles on in class and her explanations are vague and will just confuse you even more. would highly NOT recommend this professor

She tends to ramble on and her lectures are longer than they need to be. She was rude and discouraging to some of her students. I didn't learn much from this class and don't recommend taking her for English.

She's a great teacher for a first time college student. There are only about 6 homework assignments and five papers. She is kind and of is a lot of help of help if you ask. As long as you show up and write your papers, you'll be good.

Thank you Mrs Pangborn for helping me develop my writing skills. I definitely became a better writer due to your assignments, direction and guidance. You weren't easy but you were extremely fair. I would have taken your ENG 1B class but you aren't teaching it until next fall. Thanks again and I recommend your class to anyone.

Pangborn from the beginning would ramble about topics that had nothing to do with our course and was in no way helpful or insightful. Her political views were brought up in class multiple times and made me uncomfortable. If a student didn't agree with her view she had the class tell said student why they were wrong. I would not pick this professor.

She can get off subject at times. Overall, I improved big time in my writing. I'm a strong writer to begin with but I feel like this class has really helped me grow. She gives a lot of feedback on essays, and if you ask for help, she will give it to you. Very sweet lady.

She is one of the original teachers from saddleback so there are quite a lot of ramblings that come with taking her class. Some classes are devoted entirely to discussions that are pretty fun and helpful for the essay. Her topics are a little boring sometimes but if you show her you want an A and revise your essays she will help you a lot!

Comment:

Ms. Pangborn is not the type of teacher who will give you a lot of extra help and feedback before an essay is due, but she tells you what she wants in the essay. This makes it very clear cut and simple if you write it all down and do it. She will challenge you, so be prepared to learn and become better at writing through many essays. Good teacher!

This class is completely useless. All she wants to do is make you do computer games for typing and reading that you can easily do by yourself, at home, online. She gives you one essay to do. I forgot to answer the questions on the second part. I got a C. What she talks about doesn't make sense. Do not take this class. It is a waste of time.

You won't succeed in this class unless you apply yourself and show up to every class. She tells you how she wants essays written and allows you to revise your essays after the original due date. Pangborn cares about your education, but she will not force-feed it to you. That being said, I'm not sure if anyone else received an A. My tip: take notes

This woman judged me the moment I walked in her classroom. She looked me up and down & scoffed at my ipad (which had my book on it) & wouldn't let me use it. Every paper I turned into her she immediately wrote C on it without even reading it then ultimately gave me a D. She had a vendetta against me because I did not agree with her biased opinions.

Good teacher. Work is tough but it payed off since it's the first English class I got an A in college. You'll do fine if you do the work, and when given a chance to edit your paper after turning it in, that will help too.
