Comment:

This class is horrible and I dread having to take him again next semester. Each week we had 600 word discussions, then a 100 word response to two people. Along with a chapter to read and also his 4 pages of comments about the chapter. It was so much to for the class and 5 days is not enough with other classes as well. I don't recommend him.

Comment:

His syllabus is very clear. He tells you everything up front as well, but he does not remind you of any assignments. There are weekly quizzes (he drops three), 5-hour observation and a paper over it, a PBL group and individual project, and a philosophy paper on final exam day. He is powerpoint heavy but gives lots of extra credit opportunities.

Dr. Lowrance has to be one of my all-time favorite professors. That's saying a lot, considering that I took him for an online class. He posted amazing comments for his lectures, graded fairly, and did not give excess work. He was super helpful and easy to reach when I had a question. I would absolutely take him again!!!

Comment:

There is a lot of work involved in this class. He drops one of your test at the end of the semester, you will have a 10 page paper, 400 word discussion boards, 2 200 word responses, and weekly test (essay format). His class was extremely interesting and he made the lectures very relatable and easy to understand.

Comment:

This was an online class so participation in discussion boards and reading was a must. He has a vast amount of knowledge and experience in his field which I appreciated him sharing with the class through his commentary each week. He was very organized with materials and quick to respond to emails. I would take him again!

Professor Lowrance is awesome! I took the class online (5 week Summer), and it was a lot of reading, but that's to be expected with any online class. Tests are mostly essay 'ish', and you have to give detail, but the questions are well worded. There is a 10 page paper, but you know about it from the beginning of the class- 20% of entire grade.

If you have a cute smile and stroke his ego--he will love you. If you are not an attractive female--forget it. Pretends to care and has a huge ego as he thinks he is God's gift to women and Special Education. He deludes himself into believing that everyone thinks he is so great. Some students totally buy into it. Very sickening.

Easy class! Every Monday we watched videos which was super nice! Weekly quizzes were easy as long as you read the chapter and study the powerpoint. The ten page paper is super easy! There is only five hours of observations then a short paper over that but once you finish all the papers it's pretty much just quizzes and reading.

First "good" professor I've had at Austin Peay. Tells you whats expected of you and there are never ANY surprises. He gets sidetracked a lot but as long as you read the chapter or the powerpoint you will do great. Weekly quizzes are consistent and the content is never in depth so they are easy to pass!

Dr. Lowrance is a horrible professor who should have retired years ago. He only likes the young pretty girls and they like him because he gives them an A when they deserve a D. I withdrew from his class because it was disgusting to listen to his stories about disabled kids getting erections.

The class is pretty easy you have to look at the notes and read the book in order to make a decent grade on your quizzes. The guy is super funny and loves what he does and you can make a A. There is a 10 page paper but as long as you start ahead of time it will be fine. He doesnt announce when things are due though so keep up by looking at syllabus

He is one of the best professors ever! There is a 10 page paper but it is easy. No midterm no final you take a quiz each week and write a philosophy paper or do a creativity project at the end. EASY A!

Please take him. You will lovveee him. He is so nice and very funny. The 10 page paper is super easy, I cant write and make an A on it! This class is an easy A if you pay attention to what he says in class and read the slides. His trach makes it hard to hear at times, so sit up close. Other than that, you will be fine!!!

Amazing! Passionate! Enthusiastic! He keeps this class motivated and engaged with his lectures and somewhat unconventional behavior! I loved the class and hated to see the semester end. No one else like him, but expect to learn a lot. Weekly quizzes, field experience, 10 page paper and a personal philosophy on special ed paper for the final.

By far, my favorite professor at APSU. He is amazing! He is not difficult at all, and I enjoyed every moment in my class! If you attend class everday it is impossible to fail! Yes you have a 10 page paper, but he grades it very easy!
