She makes you buy the $90 book SHE wrote than when she starts a new lesson, she refuses to let you use it, she calls on you and if you don't know something, she stares at you until you somehow know it or your head explodes like in scanners. She takes personal days just because, but if you miss a SINGLE class, might as well drop cause your finished.

She is a VERY bad teacher. Her ways of teaching french are pretty ridiculous. I lived in France AND studied French while I lived there. Her teaching system is VERY flawed. She is not hard, the work is relatively easy. She just will not teach you anything worth using down line. Avoid taking her, French is wonderful and she will ruin it for you.

Took her Beg Fr long ago. Eccentric and odd! Heavy vocab, little grammar. Memorize parts of bicycle but don't learn difference bet passe compose and infinitif. Embarrasses students saying things in Fr they can't understand! Luckily 2nd semester I got into Mme Silverberg's class. Now I see she teaches algebra-too bad cuz her French class was best!

I just finished taking the midterm for French I, and there are only three weeks left of class. She sat down and ate for the first 15 minutes of the exam and totally destroyed my concentration. She is irritating, obnoxious, and is destroying my interest in learning French. I get good grades, but only because I'm a good student. Be warned.

She is an excellent professor. I have never studied french before I took her class, but she made the class interested for me,she made this language easy for me and now i start to speak this language thanks to her. If you really want to take a nice and funny class that would help you, take her, she will help you.

She teaches in simple clear way. Her method to perfect French pronunciation is amazing. She is a little stern, medium workload (but that is with any foreign language); but if you want to speak French I highly recommend her. You can get an A in her class, I did; but you have to do your part. I would definitely take her again.
