He recently started teaching at McGill and he's such a gem I hope he continues. His lectures were interesting and clearly structured. His grading was very fair. He's also such a caring professor and a genuinely nice person. willing to give extensions if you're feeling overwhelmed. Would 100% take again.

This was a great class with a great prof. I wish he was still working at Carleton, as I hoped to do a senior project with him.

Professor Wolfgram is certainly one of the best professors I've known at Carleton. I've taken two classes with him on European politics. Not only does he know the material, he really works hard for the students. I hope to work with him on my 4th year honors paper.

Mark is a useless prof to have, especially for an MA advisor. He was totally unwilling to assist in topics he either knew about, or didn't, and wanted to have me write work for him, even though an advisor should guide a student's own work. Very intellectually lazy, and steers class towards his favourite topics. Can sometimes be fair.

American Prof's rock!! Him and Brian Schmidt are my two of my fav at Carleton. Especially like the fact that he always gives you a take-home exam. His third year course is really good too. I would recommend going to his lectures and saving the readings for the Take-Home.

Lectures are a tad boring, but not long. Picks horrible TAs (Tsegaye!) But the best about Wolfgram is that he is really helpful guy. Funny and amusing when you get to know him, and willing to help you on the papers and topic. Thanks prof.

He uses many examples to help students understand the course material. The assignments were relevant and, dare I say, enjoyable. The TA choice was also excellent, and Mark was very knowledgeable in his field. He was not reserved at all from what I could see. One of Carleton's friendliest profs

Wolfgram is probably one of the best professors at Carleton. He knows his stuff forward and backward, and if you ask, and he doesn`t know he`ll find out by the next class. I`ve learned a lot from him and am taking another class with him this year as well.

Mark is one of the most thoughtful and reflective professors I've had. He really cares about his students and gives whatever extra help is needed. The reading is demanding but rewarding. If you like polsci these classes are good.

I took this course last year, and it was by far the worst course I have ever taken!! Wolfgram seems like a quite reserved type, you don't want these traits in a prof!! Not only is the course material the dryest and most exhaustive and irrelevent bunch of b.s. the prof is even more boring and dry!!!!

I had in interest in the topic, but the course material is somewhat dry, with extensive reading. Mark, is a chill guy, but his lectures are boring, monotone, and unengaging. DO the readings 4 sure theres up to 5 texts. He likes to draw, U can miss mad lectures and still do well in this class.

I had to drop this course after a month, it was so bad. Wolfgram is boring and lifeless, and doesn't elaborate well on crucial points. The textbooks are ridiculously expensive and are essentially uncritical capitalist apologetics. The entire field of 'comparitive politics' is ahistorical nonsense.

Really nice guy.....BUT His lectures are impossible to follow. His flow charts, though meant to clarify, seldom do. He is also sometimes hard to hear as he sometimes mumbles. Read (and memorize) the textbooks, because lectures won't help you much!

Don't bother going to class, you'll just be more confused. Basically all you have to do is memorize the textbook, don't worry it's only 400 pages. Then he'll ask you about the most remote parts of it on your exam worth 50%.

Mark is chill, he tries to engage the class and hear students views on issues. I hear he's a rookie, taken that into considerationhe's got mad potential to be a dope prof.

Yeah, he's a great guy. Not a great lecturer though. Bring a pillow, but keep your textbook to drool on, because that's the entire course under your face.

sketchy. decent guy, working with very dry material. that being said, he needs to drastically reform his TA system! ANDREA!! YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF ACADEMICS; get out of her group if you have her. she does nothing, we sit for an hour every week in silence
