Professor D is awesome. If you do the optional homework questions, do the readings and show up to his class, you should be fine. Don't blame him if you get a bad grade, your grade is based on how much time/effort you put in. Just go over (READ) the sections after lecture and do the questions and you should be fine. And he is always willing to help!

By far the worst chemistry professor of all time, just like all of the chemistry teachers at depaul. I got a D in his course and then took organic chemistry at a community college and got an A. I think that speaks for itself. Stay away.

horrible...hardest grader ever, no partial credit given. Tests are imposible and he phrases everything completely different than the book does, so no matter how hard you study, you are bound to struggle with his exams. I know plenty that have failed his class...I do not recc. him to anyone who is not a chemistry major.

Very intelligent, helpful, well organized, and funny, too. This man made me LOVE organic chemistry. This was the most fun class I've ever taken. Come to class, do the homework, study study study, and you'll do fine. (On a side note: SN2 "backside attack" hehehe.)

I had gotten a D when I took this at my full time college and I thought organic was impossible and I'd have to drop out of pre med. Dr. D made the stuff very interesting and even fun. He is a true diamond in the rough. He is dedicated and has his own org. website to help students. If you put the effort it(2 hrs a day) you'll get A's like I did.

I had Dr. D for organic way back in 2000! He was, without a doubt, the best science prof at DePaul...and there were a lot of good ones to choose from. He's smart, funny, patient, and caring. He's got a really great vocabulary, too...lots of big words!

Dr.D is a really good teacher. His voice can be monotone, but the material is interesting and well presented. Orgo is hard work, but he is very fair. Go to class every day, do the homework, get decent grades in lab, and study hardcore for tests and you will get an A.

Dr. D presented the material in a well organize manner. Complete the homework assignments for extra credit on the first 3 exams not the final. Nonetheless, he tended to write for too long on the board ignoring people with questions. Review the notes and complete the homework assignments and you'll do fine.

Dr. D is by far the best science teacher at DePaul. He is always prepared, encourages questions and is a fair test giver/grader. He only concern is that you understand what is going on. Many pple in class think orgo will be their best section on med/dental tests. I feared this class before I knew how great Dr.D was & hes cute and cheesy/funny.
