Mindy assigns prequizzes before class, then you go to class and do group work the entire time, before taking another quiz at the end. There are two hour quizzes every friday, four exams, and a final. I went to class everyday, asked questions, did all the work and still came out with a C. The first one I have ever gotten.

Comment:

Do not take this class if you require a lecture-type learning style. With this, you read the material online and then do work in class. However, saying that, she is more than willing to help you with anything you need. Take advantage of her office hours. This class is good for those who are motivated and independent. Lovely professor.

I received a 78 and a 79 on her first two exams. After that I started going to her office hours to get extra help when I didn't understand something. I passed the class with an A. She would sometimes give quizzes, but she would choose two questions off of the homework to be the quiz. Just do your homework and ask for help and you will be fine!

GO TO CLASS! If you go to class and do your prep work you will do great! She is extremely caring and accommodating, and is always available during office hours to help you out. Love love love this professor! The class is very fast paced and at times difficult. You absolutely cannot miss or you will not do well. Every day is a new lesson and quiz.

Mindy was absolutely wonderful. I was very scared to take this class because it was calculus, but it ended up being my easiest class this semester. Mindy makes an effort to help students understand the material, and she is very lenient. If you have a decent math ability, this class is an easy A.

Professor Diesslin is the sweetest soul. I had her at 8 am 4 days a week and she always had a smile on her face. She really wants you to not only do well in her class but really understand the material. She is more than willing to meet and assist you. If you are able to, take her!

Mindy is a great teacher and really cares about you and your grade. Office hours are extremely effective and I highly recommend them. Read before class and participate. Must go to class because you have a small quiz everyday.

An amazing professor - she genuinely cares about her students but it's up to them to go to her for help. Went to a lot of her office hours and she really makes sure you understand before moving on. Very kind. Go to her office hours if you're lost, you won't regret it! Lectures and tests were okay. Make sure you study ahead of time!

Mindy was an amazing professor! always hated math, but taking it with her made me appreciate math! I never liked a class so much as I did hers. As long as you pay attention to lectures and actually do the assigned homework and ask questions you will do fine! She goes over the problems assigned and if you need help ask her! Wish i could take again!

Comment:

Awesome! Always hated math but she made it much more bearable. Flipped class, so homework is done in class as groupwork, and there is a 5 point quiz at the end of every day. Always willing to work with your schedule and lets you make up missed days. Explains things as clear as possible, and wants to help you actually understand it. Text is on Pilot

I really enjoyed having her as an instructor. She was always willing to help you until you understand. She doesn't treat you like you're dumb for not understanding something. She made me enjoy math. May be the best professor I've had at Wright State so far.

Mindy is great. Class is "flipped style" so you do all of the homework and learning in class. Each class you learn a lesson in a group and take a short quiz at the end. Great if you have a job or little free time to do homework outside of class! Love Mindy!

Mindy is very nice and approachable. I am not a very good math student so she was the perfect professor for me. She does not collect homework which is a plus. She always available in her office if you need any help. Her test are not that easy, but that's because I'm not a good test taker. Highly recommend her. She is awesome!!!
