One of the most exceptional professors I've ever encountered. I received a C in his first class, but earned a pair of A's in his more difficult classes. He is fair and does not tolerate an apathetic effort. If you don't come to learn and actually earn your grade, you might as well leave his class. His fair and approachable, but only if you try.

Honestly I would avoid him if you can. Its definitely not an easy A course, hell its not even an easy B course. Tests are insanely difficult, normally take home tests are easier. Not with him, there 3-4 page papers. Material is already hard to understand and he does not make it any easier, also no flexibility. It's his way or the highway.

This class is probably best if you have an interest in world politics. It can be a lot of work, and there is a lot of reading. The lectures can be dry. But he does a good job explaining the topics. The tests are difficult because it is all essay questions. Use his study guides to make an outline to study for the test.

I would recommend not taking this professor for a class, the workload is high and his grading is harsh. Material is not taught. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid this professor. He's a nice guy, but does not know how to teach. All of his in-class tests are a nightmare. They are extremely vague and he expects you to write specific examples that he never teaches. Attendance is mandatory, but he spends half of the semester telling stories that do not relate to the topic that is being covered.

Good guy! Took him for 2 classes. You just need to get used to his style and format of teaching. His study guides are crucial for his tests, which can be difficult if not prepared. All in all are good professor!

Provides a Study Guide for tests, so it's really easy to get prepared for them. Lenient grader for both tests and essays. Class is fun and interactive. The Final Exam was open book and open notes, which made the essay questions somewhat more complicated, but nothing hard. Hardly reccomend! I will probably take him for another class.

Absolutely worthless. He'll take an hour to get you confused about something that could have been said in a sentence. Just rambles the entire class. You'll learn from the book, and waste 3 hours/week stuck in class. Clear as mud as a prof. There's a reason he's not teaching humanities at a humanities school- he'd never get accepted. Avoid.

HARD HARD HARD! Good guy, a little hard to understand. From Ghana, he does one day teaching text than one day of philosophical discussion among the class. Great class to see what others think about globalization. But tests are crazy hard, usually 15 questions involving knowing long lists of definitions and lists and writing short essay answers G/L!

He's awesome, super nice, very interesting. If you do the work you will get a good grade. The book is super easy to read and understand and if you read it you will do great on the quizes so I definately recommend it.

He's an okay guy - just don't disagree with him. Pay attention to the study guides and read the book - he doesn't really test on what he spends most of his time on. Said time is incredibly boring - bring something to do...

Prof. Camara is alright. He's extremely liberal, and if you disagree with him, even on an opinion paper or quiz, he'll take points off. His classes are boring, but he tries to get everyone involved. He offers some extra credit, thankfully, as his tests and quizes are a little abstract, and harder. The study guides are the tests, but very abstract.

Great professor. Does a lot of in class debates and such, which is more helpful in many ways than reading the book, but if you participate he'll go out of his way to help you out especially if you are struggling in the class. Fairly Easy class, but attendance is mandatory, like 1 or 2 is the most absence he'll allow. Definitely a great professor!

good teacher, very knowledgable. work in class is boring and sometimes long, but trust me...it's not hard...barely put any effort in the class and still came out with a B, dont seat the test, they dont count for much of your grade.

Don't listen to all the crybabies complaining about not understanding him because of his accent. He does have a thick african accent but he is very clear and pronounces the words very clearly and carefully. Boring at times, other times quite interesting and not really hard

Two tests. The reviews ARE the tests. One quiz. A 10 page group paper with a powerpoint presentation. And a 6-8 page individual paper on similar topic as the group paper. That's the class. Easy A,or B for someone who's not a grat writer. Class is extremely boring....yeah, and the guy is a freaking black belt. Totally undercover too,he's a historian
