Formal logic isnt something of second nature for most, and if it werent for Links passion and dedication I dont think I would have done so well. Its very important to show up to all classes. Link is very content heavy and missing a day will make you feel like you missed a week. USE A PENCIL!!

Show up to class, ask questions. If you still do not understand ASK AGAIN. He will not give up on a student eager to learn. He cares about his students so deeply, I was surprised to see so much effort and care from a prof. He really wants every student to succeed in the class and in life.

Dr link is a great lecturer. He explains materials really well. Phil 256 is not an easy class, it's heavy on Chinese philosophy but he made it easy. You are expected to read the textbook. Many ancient philosophical concepts you have to understand and he discuss them in class. 2 papers, and mid and final exam.

He wanted me to do well & it showed. If you go into his office hours & participate he will love you;even if you do neither he makes a point of knowing you.

An incredibly sweet man, though I ended up having to drop the course over halfway through the semester because I was putting in the worst academic performance of my life. He is very passionate about his craft, though I had a lot of difficulty comprehending anything he was teaching. I had a private tutor, and that still didn't help.

A man of the people: this guy, besides maybe O'Neil, is the coolest dude on campus. Great class, thoughtful discussions, and a real gem to talk to outside of class. If you can, take his classes: some people haven't even graduated just to keep taking his classes!

Professor Link was a wonderful teacher. You really need to pay attention in class, but he is very helpful in and out of class. Quizzestests are open book. He is a very kind and entertaining teacher. He is also extremely understanding and makes extra credit options available. If you get any of his classes you got lucky.

One of the best teachers i've ever had a suffolk. I HIGHLY recommend any course taken with him. The work can be hard, but he is overwhelmingly brilliant at trying to get his point across. Pay attention. It's ok to be confused. If you try really hard, he will know and he will award you for your efforts. TAKE GOOD NOTES and get ready to learn.

Formal logic is a tough class if you're not used to quantitative reasoning. I would not recommend this class for anyone uninterested, just trying to fulfill their math requirement. Take Math 134 instead. Overall, if you attend class, take notes, attempt truth trees in class, and rewrite the homework, you'll do well because he knows you're trying.
