Comment:

I took his poverty and inequality class and it has been one of the best classes I've ever taken. He demands that you read a lot but the professor is enjoyable to listen to and is passionate about the subject. I would highly recommend anyone take a class from him.

You will read until your eyeballs fall out. He is a very funny guy, but kind of terrifying when he calls on people randomly. He doesn't take attendance, but you should still go. It'll make the tests a lot easier. He posts study guides for the tests, which is helpful. There are only two tests, so make sure you study!

Comment:

Waitzman is hilarious, you will laugh every lecture but he is hard to follow sometimes. He knows what he is talking about and is very educated. He grades hard and expects you to study but you will learn a lot from the class. Definitely worth taking a class from him.

Comment:

Professor Waitzman is fun to listen to, but not a good teacher. He knows his stuff, but has difficulty explaining. Always attend class, he uses and tests on terms he mentions in class that aren't in the book. I wouldn't recommend him unless you need a good laugh during the day.

Comment:

Class was 'fun' but I ended up getting the worst grade of my college career from him. His tests are difficult. made up of multiple choice (worth 2 each) and then 4-5 T/F explain questions. The T/F are worth ALOT and he is looking for VERY specific answers. If you have him, good luck! Be prepared to study LOTS!

I took econ as a social science from professor Waitzman. The readings were interesting and eye opening. I thought the class was well organized and covered a lot of relevant material. Good professor. I'd recommend him.

He looks and acts like a monkey. Very funny, especially his laugh. You will have to work in the class, but it is a riot in there.
