Comment:

For someone whose job it is to teach us, he hasn't actually taught a single thing. All learning is done by us reading the textbook, and he doesn't lecture about the information for the weekly quizzes at all. He only did one lecture, and it was for a topic we weren't going to be tested on because "it's way too complicated and you'd all just fail."

Comment:

Professor Liu's course of Criminology was not that hard of a course. 10 quizzes that are based on readings of a chapter, Group Project that you do throughout the semester which is not hard, just annoying to deal with. Five Essays about your specific crime, not that bad. Attendance is a must and overall a good guy, would recommend taking.

Comment:

Professor Liu is one of the greatest people that I have ever met in my entire life. He is ALWAYS there to help his students, and will definitely give as much aid as possible. I have learned so much in his class and would recommend anyone to take it. The workload was not much at all and I seriously enjoyed learning from him. Take this class.

Don't take him if you're expected to have an A handed to you. Dr. Liu makes you WORK for your grades- but I have never taken a class where I learned more nor have I met a Professor as intelligent as he is. If you want to learn and are genuinely interested in the subject, take him! I've had him for two courses and would take him again.

Professor Liu is quite possibly one of the worst professors at Monmouth. He is very difficult to understand in class and gives very vague instructions on assignments. When trying to contact him, it is almost impossible to get in touch because he does not read emails. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES. Terrible professor who doesn't care about students

Hard to pay attention in class because the material is boring, but make an effort to try. He likes when you participate. And don't leave your 25 page paper to last minute (follow syllabus and work on it throughout the semester)!!

Comment:

Very hard to understand and not always the clearest. A lot of work but helps you if you need it. Teach yourself the material, especially in computer courses with him, because he is confused about the material himself.

This prof sucks squirrel gonads. You can't understand anything he says and he changes everything in the research study over and over. The only good thing is that if you're lucky - you only have to take him for this one class
