Dr. Johnson's class was really interesting. He has so many stories and knows so much about aviation. You can tell that it is something he loves and it shows in the way he teaches. Unfortunately, most of the class is group work. But Dr. Johnson is a great guy and he just wants you to learn. His jokes are funny too

Comment:

Great class, great guy. Loved the class and he was a big part of it. He has a ton of stories that area all equally interesting and they tie into the class. Definitely recommending trying to get into any class with Dr. Johnson. He's the man.

Very easy class. If you take the 20 minutes to copy and paste the info from the slides onto the study guide you are guaranteed an A. All of the group presentation questions are pulled directly from the PowerPoints. Memorize the answers and the tests will be a breeze. Great teacher, keeps class interesting, and loves to make jokes. Really interesting stories from his flying career. Take this class.

I liked him overall. The class overall was tough for me. It was an intro class and it was definitely not intro level for someone who knew nothing about aviation prior to the class. Half the class was military so it was assumed EVERYONE already knew everything even though it was suppose to be entry level. Learned a lot though through self teaching.

Dr. Johnson really cares about getting to know his students. He expects you to be prepared for class and contribute to the conversations. He is a teacher who really pushes your thinking. Exams and assignments are fairly straight-forward. There are a number of presentations and a paper. As long as you are prepared for class you can easily make an A.

Really cool teacher. It was his first time teaching meteorology, so the class outline was a little fuzzy. But he based the class on 110% scale, so if you didn't make at least a B you shouldn't be in college. Remember to do the weekly quizzes and put a little effort into the workbooks and you should easily get an A. I would take another class of his

I had him for Intro and Aviation Safety....very laid back..fun to go to class...even though i was out sick for half the semester..he worked with me until i made everything up...tests are easy if you pay attention..it helps if you are an aviation major..GREAT TEACHER VERY INTERESTING

RJ is the man. He is definately passionate about what he teaches. Knows the material but can go off on tangents on times. Class is a lot of fun. If you need help, he is very open with his office hours and is willing to help. Definately recommend even if you're not an Aviation major.

Nice guy, but a little wacky. Does his best to make the class interesting; however, class is still really boring. Students and GTAs basically teach the class, so sometimes tests are a little unclear and it sucks when the GTAs screw up because he's not even there to know if you or them are right. Don't take if you're not in aviation!
