The midterms were very long and difficult with insignificant answers and questions. More of a class for memorization of details and lecture slides are not posted.

You HAVE to go to class I can not stress that enough. His classes are interesting but you have to go and have to take good notes on what he is saying. He repeats himself a lot because it drills it into your head do not complain about this take it as a blessing. He will tell you exactly what to know if you are in class so show up.

He knows what he's talking about, but he does not explain it well. He also tries to intimidate the class, which is ridiculous. It's good for him to show that he's an authority figure, but he takes it way too far. He also calls out specific people for not knowing the answer, which is rude and belittling. It does not encourage participation.

The lectures are pretty interesting despite the long classes. He doesn't post slides and doesn't follow the text book closely so coming to class is a must. Tough but fair and clear with assignments. Overall, he's a great prof.

Dr. Raymond Izarali is a really good professor, he know's his content and explains it really well. He goes off the slides, mandatory to be in class, missing one means you'll have difficulties on the midterm and final! Very approachable, funny and keeps it interesting! He grades reasonable usually Essay Midterm and Final! If you come to class easy A

Doesn't give reviews so be prepared. He talks very monotone so its hard to pay attention. He tries to be intimidating which if anything makes me lose respect for you for you.. why try to be scary? Wouldn't take his class again if I have the choice.

Dr. Izarali has been a prof that I look for every semester. Even if what he is teaching isn't mandatory, I try to get into his classes whenever I can. He gives great lectures, is keen on students achieving the best that they can, and will help anyone who goes to lectures, or asks him for help.

If every professor taught with, even a tenth of, the passion and compassion that this wonderful man does , there would be virtually no excuse for any student to ever fail. He is intelligent, wise, well spoken, helpful and FAIR. He does everything to make sure his students succeed. Literally the best prof I have had in all my three years of uni.

Good prof. MUST attend class and take notes or else you will not do well in this course. The prof was extremely knowledgeable and willing to help if you participated and showed interest in the topic. Extremely fair marker. If you did the work, you got the grades, easy as that.

I took a criminology class with this professor. I am not sure what others here are talking about with him apparently not being easy to understand. I guess maybe they do not understand English very well, as this professor, though it is his second language, is actually easier to understand than those where English is their first language.

I have taken two classes (other world views and criminology contemp.)with Prof. Izarali and I think he is a great professor. He approaches his lectures in a way that is refreshing, and really tries to get students to think about the bigger picture. Really great, laid back professor!
