I took him a few years ago at LACC. He has no hw. Just 3 tests (he tells you whats going to be on them), 1 easy paper, 1 group presentation. He is a fair grader and never insults anyone unlike many "tolerant" leftists profs. As long as you behave as an adult, show up, do your assignments, you get an A. Criticism is unwarranted. Best PoliSci prof !

This guys at LACC now i think this is his first year here. im taking him. hes really boring all he does is stands in front of the class for an hour and talks :( he has pop quizes. expects you to bring your txt book to class every meeting and you wont even use it. hes alright i wont say hes the worst.

The worst professor in Gcc in history.It's true he makes you work a lot for a 1 unit class.He's a total jerk ask him a question about somthing your not clear about he answers in a rude way,makes you write the essays in his format and if you don't follow the format he will lower your grade.Take another professor,not HAGER unless u want a bad grade

It's the only C I've got in GCC so far! Really pissed me off! We had to read the whole book and prepare for 2 essays for the final exam, which was too tough and ridiculous for an one unit class. It would have been better if he'd separated the exam into mid-term and final. If your major is not political science, he won't care you at all.

Don't take his class! Especially if Eng is not your native language. You'll have to spend a lot of efforts for only an one unit class! It's so unfair that the final exam is 80% of the final grade, and the grading system is on a curve. In my class,there's some smarter classmates who studied other PS class or it's their major. It made my grade lower!

The guy is a proffessional. Although, I disagree with a lot of his personal concepts and find his lectures boring, I must admit he does a solid job in helping one learn the material. He's respectul and one can not deny that he gets there on time and his attendance is solid. Boring, but at least not a condescending individual.

The lectures tend to be very boring. Material is repeated a lot. The rules for his class are strikely held. Quizzes are easy to pass just by reading and using study questions. Attendance and participation count 10% of the grade, so if you miss class, be warned. Final is not difficult, but essay is the key and must include lots of real facts..

His teaching style is very direct and organized. He wants you to take the class seriously so he really cares about attendance and reading. The quizzes are easy if you use the study guide. The final can be tough but he gives you a good outline. The class overall was good but I think it would have been more interesting if we discussed current events.

He knows his stuff, If you can bear his bad jokes, just read the book and go over the definitions. Go to his review sessions because he tells you what you need for the essay part. Don't get on his bad side and he will be nice to you. He is a hard grader on essays though, but his multiple choice questions are really easy.

Let's be honest, he's pretty anal about class attendance but overall, he's not a bad guy. Just attend class, take notes on his power point slides. He gives the outline for the essays on the midterm and final. You have to work for your grade but trust it's not difficult. He's a pretty good guy if you just talk to him...

Prof. Hager requires you to do University style work. Not a bad thing when you are headed to transfer to a 4 yr. university. Do the reading take good notes and work hard for your grade and you'll do fine. Professors never give you a grade, you earn it! He knows his material well and presents it in a comprehensable manner.Do your work you'll be fine

This teacher is a nice guy. However, he is very bitter about the Californian Political System, which makes me wonder why I stuck it out in his class for so long. His quizzes are easy if you can memorize the book. I did all the readings and walked out of the class with a C.

this is the worse teacher i have even had. he makes you feel really stupid when you ask questions and feels that he has all the authority!! and when he see's that most of the class is late for class, he'll give a quiz, so most of the class misses it. plus, you would think you were in a english class, he grades mostly on your essays! Was surprised to see only 6 students enrolled in his Fall 2006 semester. I now see why, the class book was 2 x more expensive than any other class ($110). He gives pop quizzes on readings, and the questions are very detailed and he's an unfair grader. So much trouble for 1 unit, WHY?!
