Sherry was a great teacher. Anyone who has bad intonation can fix it if they have a good enough ear and take the time to work on it (scales and arpeggios....) I learned so much from her. She knows the violin backwards and forwards. She will help you with weaknesses and emphasize strengths. Wonderful person too, genuinely cares!

I agree with another posting - she needs to learn intonation very badly. She is one of the worst violin teachers I have ever studied with. I had very good intonation from her predecessor and she undid most of it. Thank god I'm not a performance major - I'm sorry if you are and you are studying with her.

She needs to make intonation her only concern for the next 5 years. I don't care if she studied with Heifitz or God; if intonation isn't ALWAYS there 110%, the violin ranks with fingers on chalkboards. It's no wonder so many of her students sound BAD!

Ms. Kloss is amazing!! She's so clear, and is always helpful. Also, she's so willing to help with anything you need. She's always cheerful, and wants to know how you're doing. A great violinist, teacher, and friend.
