Professor Hagewood is one of the best math professors I have ever had. She is very caring and is definitely willing to work with you if she sees that you will put forth the effort. She knows her stuff since she has been teaching for quite a while. There was homework almost every night, but if you do it it helps you understand the content.

The professor is a very tough grader on the actual exams like Midterms and Finals, which are worth over 25% of your grade. She assigns about 2-3 homework assignments per week with at least 2 quizzes per week. She does not accept late work nor does she accept any excuses for missing assignments. This course is heavily focused on trigonometry.

Professor Hagewood is a great teacher. She explains everything clearly, but you have to do your part. There was a lot to study in the 8-week class, but it was doable. Her exams are long, but easy if you know what you are doing. She is also available outside of class. Study, do what she says, and you will get A.

Do not take this professor! If all of the other classes are filled and she is the only one left, wait until next semester! She does not care if her students pass and if you have personal issues that are hindering you she'll pretend to care then talk about you to other students when she thinks you're gone. Do not take her class.

This is the first professor I've ever taken the time to write about. If she is the last class open and you have the choice to either take her class or wait until next semester and hope another professor is available: wait until next semester.

I love Hagewood. She does move fast but she gives so many assignments (and drops so many) that you have so many resources for the tests. She is even giving a retake test. She is so caring and wants every student to succeed. She answers any and every question any students have and loves participation. I would take her every chance if I could.

Knows her stuff, but moves very quickly in lecture and loses patience with those who fall behind. Unless you have strong math skills, find a different teacher. Show up, participate in discussions, do extra credit. She will help outside class time all you ask, but if lecture was less confusing then she wouldn't need to. Frustrating class. Nice lady

Made it through her class but barely. She is very helpful and lets you sometimes use notes on test but shes not the kind of Math teacher that can explain things in a helpful way it is a more like here it is oh why dont you get it?! She makes a lot of corny jokes that arent funny!

Will barely teach you how to do the basic concept of the chapter, then assigns pages of mathlab homework that vaguely represent the lesson at hand. And may surprise you with a "No Calculator" test.

She relies too heavily on MyMathLab, to the point where I think she expects students to do nothing with their days but refresh the page and read the textbook, which is truly unnecessary if not for the code to get into MyMathLab. Don't take her if you can avoid it.

She knows the material, but isn't good at explaining it. There is an online homework and quiz every week. There is a study guide before every test. There is opportunity for extra credit but not much.

Dr. Hagewood is not a very good teacher. She doesn't seem to understand that the concepts don't come as clearly as she thinks. The last few weeks were definitely the most difficult(Chapter 7 mostly). Her grading system made me want to tear my hair out. I was consistently making bad grades and wind up with a C. (which is still kinda bad)

Nice person but confusing as I don't know what. If you haven't taken math in a while or pre-cal in high school, this class is gonna be a struggle. Hagewood moves very fast And don't count on her to clearly answer your question. Uses MyMathLab too much, gives assignments and never takes them up, and puts people in groups to teach each other.

Professor Hagewood is a fairly straightforward teacher, and I took her for Dual-Enrollment Pre-Calculus which was pretty good since a lot of the subjects are from Algebra II. I recommend that you pay attention to all lectures but I could say notes are optional as long as you had some from Algebra II. MyMathLab is in the course, just so you know.

She's a nice person I guess, but she can't teach. I don't know if she ever could, but I think she has been doing this for so long that she expects you to understand. "Don't you get it?" "Don't you see?" Nope, because I haven't been doing the same math problems for 30 years. You have to teach yourself everything. Worst math class I've ever had.

This was my first math class in 20 years. It was difficult for me to get going and wake that side of my brain up but I ended up scoring a 97% in the course. Asst. Prof. Hagewood is the salt of the earth. She is wonderful. Whenever I had a question, she helped me. It is a hard course and requires a LOT of time but she is a great professor!

Relies way too much on MyMathLab. I taught every single concept to myself. She gives extra credit on discussion posts, but the same group of people asked and answered all the questions, and no one else had a chance to gain any points. It just felt like the rest of the class was neglected unless you spent all day on MML refreshing. Avoid.

Was this a difficult subject? Yes. Did Professor Hagewood do a good job teaching it? YES! She is one of the best professors I've ever had. She allows ample time for extra help, drops multiple low quiz and homework scores and 1 test. Anyone who doesn't get a good grade in her class either shouldn't be in that class or isn't trying.
