Comment:

Very easy class, but I learned nothing. I have to take at least a SPA 200 to graduate and I am not at all prepared for it after taking this class. I would recommend taking a different professor.

Comment:

This teacher has issues, she is not helpful at all. If you are not quiet in class besides when she's asking you to speak, she'll hate you. Attendance is mandatory or you will fail, do not even think about asking questions cause she will just make you feel dumb. She is not a good teacher to take Spanish with, I am not prepared for Spanish 200 at all

Comment:

This teacher is definitely going through some personal issues. I did the work and received an excellent grade, but what bothered me is when she referred to our class as the class from hell, or when she would put down students in and outside of the classroom. It was very disorganized and not okay. My advice is to do your work and stay out of her way

I hate to say this. One of the most unprofessional teachers that I have ever come across. Very few things were graded and if you give her a hard time in class, she will not let you live it down and will continue to make you feel low and worthless to the point that you no longer want to come to class. Has said hurtful things to students as well.

The professor is lenient. Just do the work and you should be fine. She's very nice and understanding. It's easy to slack off because she won't pressure you, so be aware. How much you learn truly depends on you.

She tries too hard to be students' friend instead of our teacher.. I have to take at least a 200-level Spanish to graduate and I am definitely not prepared with this class... if you want to actually learn the Spanish language andor go on to the next level spanish, I would not suggest this teacher.

She's a wonderful professor! I wish I could have her for all my Spanish classes! Her favorite thing to say is no stress, and that's exactly what made the class easy! I suck at Spanish and this was easy

This teacher is awesome. i literally was failing spanish in high school and i was very nervous about taking it in college. we learned a good amount and everything is visual. we did 1 project the whole semester and watched 5 movies. its great! shes really fun and bubbly! she made me actually love spanish! I recommend her as a teacher without a doubt

LOVE LOVE LOVE her class. She made Spanish fun. She cares more about you loving the language than giving you tests. Loves to play games and watch movies. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

awesome professor! she cares about her students and lets you get away with a lot. she teaches in ways to help understand the material better and is always finding new ways to improve her teaching skills to accommodate the students. Easy A if you go to class, participate and do the homework!

She absolutley plays favorites and attempts to act more than a friend than a mentor. She hates when people text in class...that will drop your participation grade but just sitting there being quiet will keep your grade at an A easily. If you want an easy A take this class but if you actually want to learn take Spanish with someone else.

amazing teacher. we dont really do much work she tries to help us when it comes time to know whats going to be on the tests. fair grader. grade based on participation and community practice i would say. she def does have her favorites but she isnt mean to anyone by any means. love this lady and if i needed another spanish i would def take her

Professor Albertal has been one of my favorite professors at Southern. If you're worried about spanish in any way, take her! She is willing to help anyone, especially when you are proactive.
