Comment:

Tom is a great teacher. When I took WR115 I was intimidated by the material because I had little knowledge of it, and it was my first college class. I had no study skills, so the first few tests I took I did poorly on. I not only greatly improved with his advice on studying, I also learned the course material. He cares and inspires.

Comment:

Such a good teacher. I took him for WR121 and I have learned more from him than higher course level writing instructors. He is very good at what he does and he is very clear on what he assigns. He doesn't just hand out worthless assignments and essays, he actually helps you improve.

Repetitive. The course content is elementary. There is almost no room for creative writing. On the other hand, the teacher is VERY clear about how each student should write. Content is extensively reviewed in class-almost no personal study time is needed, but the teacher often repeats himself. There is little variety in the material.
