I learned what it means to be a qualitative researcher from her. She's supported me and encouraged me through my hardest times. I'll be forever thankful to her. Her passion is inspiring. Darn the rest, Janesick is the best!

Dr. Janesick is the premier visionary at the USF COE. She is an international intellectual leader in Qualitative Research & Critical Pedagogy. Her courses are well designed, clearly articulated & expertly implemented. The class is a space of intellectual freedom, equity and rigor. My success is a direct result of her leadership. Take this class!

Comment:
This class is about how to write bestsellers about any topic and about how to make any topic hot. But,.. no... I haven't learned how to write a bestseller. It was mostly talk and talk about some books. The assigned readings are massive and broad. If your area of interest is narrow you won't get much out of this class.

She is the worst professor I have had in my three years at USF. She berates the class constantly and spends most of the class time on her "soap box." I learned very little in this class - AVOID.

She was the worst professor that I had in my entire two years of the graduate program. She berated students in the middle of the class. She is very opinionated and will often spend large amounts of class time talking about politics and religion. Do not take her!

Comment:
This professor puts down her students in front of others. She told a student in my class that he was by far the worst student she has ever had. She was VERY verbally abusive and modeled "what NOT to be as an administrator!!!" She told us that we wrote like 1st graders although our grades/comments on papers reflected graduate level work!

She counted "particiaption" as 25% of our grade, but didn't let anyone else talk. She is very opinionated, but can't back up her opinions. She is rude to students. I hated her.
