Profesor Mosser thinks she knows a lot about her subject, she doesnt. Saying she goes off on tangents is being nice, she hardly ever talks about anything that is relevant, but then youre expected to know what was talked about. I wouldnt take a class by her ever again. She is a nice woman though

Comment:
Dr. Mosser is by far the smartest teacher at SVU. She gets off topic in class mostly as a result of disrespectful students trying to do just that. I would recommend taking this class from Dr. Mosser because of her deep understanding of this subject and surrounding subjects.

Yes, she goes on tangents. Yes, she has a million degrees -and since when did that become a BAD thing?- HOWEVER...she is a kind, intelligent, caring woman who wants to share her knowledge and passion with the world. I have learned more in her class than I ever expected, and I (along with other students at UVA) specifically seek out her classes.

Her classes are just her going on random tangents, and she expects you to read a lot. If you go to the test review you'll ace them, and you can bs your way through the homework. Overall it's easy to get an A in her classes. She will meet with you anytime and her threats are empty.

Comment:
Poor Prof. Mosser...she's so adorable and knows everything about everything, but she knows so much that it clouds what she should be teaching. She often finds herself lost on a tangent with no hope of returning. The trouble is, sometimes it can be amusing, if you can follow, but unfortunately her tangents do not appear on tests so you must do extra-curricular reading if you hope to pass the class with a reasonable grade. Also, she takes attendance into consideration when grading.

She's a great lady, and her class is mostly discussion. But she tries to make points, and then when her class doesn't get it, it's because "she has a million" frickin' degrees, like we are uncapable of understanding. As for her tangents....mini nap?

Very very bright lady, but often times her knowledge gets in the way of her teaching. Her tangents last longer than her lectures, and you easily get confused as to what you should be taking notes on and what she's just telling you for interest's sake.

Dr Mosser is a wonderful person and I've enjoyed visiting her when she's not teaching but if you are a student, please try to avoid taking her class. Her tangents with the Hapburg dynasty are insane and very difficult to follow, and to those of you already in her class, hang in there...
