This class was a lot of busy work and research intensive assignments. There is some grammar lessons. It was sometimes difficult to get in touch with the professor at times. Some assignments have no instructions so sometimes you have to wing it in this class. But overall decent class to cover historical research methods.

the class itself isn't very tough, but he's so vague about every assignment and you really need to read the syllabus to know when things are due. definitely don't get behind because you'll trip up. it's really tough to know what's going on at any given moment. he does give you a bunch of opportunities to help your grade though.

Worst class i have ever taken. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Your grade is based solely on group work. So therefore, if you have a bad group, like i did, youre in for a hail storm. Worst class ever. Needless to say I will be retaking HY 102 because of him and my group

Professor Keitt was probably the worst professor I've had in my three years here at UAB. I took his HY102 class online over the summer and got multiple zeros for stupid reasons like I only commented once and he said to comment four times even though that was never said in the assignment. Assignments are super confusing and difficult.

Prof. doesn't seem to care if you're having trouble finding the resources necessary to complete the work. Puts you into groups and makes 40% of your overall grade reliant on your group. Expects everyone to be just as enthusiastic about history while the students are just expecting to complete their HY sequence. Will never take this prof. again!!!

Worst class I have taken so far in my two years of college. This teacher gave a 100 level course the difficulty of a 300. It's like he expected us to all be history majors. This is not a course that you can take at your own pace. It is time demanding. If you're trying to work at the same time I HIGHLY recommend choosing a different prof.

He tries to make you interact with others in the class by dividing you into groups, but IF you have a lazy group then you can forget it. There are group tests that help boost your grade and some simple essays. The topics are really interesting. He's a little scattered, but if you pay attention, it isn't too bad.

Pretty fun class. He divides you into groups which is great for making friends. Attendance IS mandatory, but you can always get someone in your group to sign for you... Tests are also done in groups... He assigns a few short papers, but they're far from difficult. What more can I say? Easy A. I'd definitely recommend him.

He divides you in groups. If you have a bad group that doesn't want to work together.. good luck. He is always off topic. He never makes any sense. His grading seems to be pretty fair but the class is so unorganized it is dreadful to come to. I would not recommend this class.

Great prof. I wasn't excited about being divided into groups at first, but it actually helped to learn the material better. I enjoyed the papers because it allowed you to put yourself into the role of someone from whatever period you are studying. Great teacher. Class is easy if you apply yourself.

Great Professor. He loves history and makes you love it too by being interesting. He is very reasonable and helpful. He is also very nice and fair. His Reacting to the Past class lets you decide what happens in history. You research, and then act, which helps you get inside the heads of important people from the past. Very cool.
