Took her for POLS 1101. I would take her again in a heartbeat. Great professor. Easy to speak to!

Fertig was really nice, but extremely boring. I wouldn't take her again. She starts off with taking attendance, but slowly stops. Her tests were essay questions, and they weren't hard. She gives you a study guide that is kinda helpful. I never paid attention in class, but I studied what was on the study guide and made an A on every test.

Lectures were long and boring. This was my first time taking her and will be my last time taking her. Not a professor that I would take twice. Take someone else. Lectures are unclear, tests are unclear, rubric is unclear. Read the books. That's the only way you will pass the class.

Only Midterm and Final exams. Lectures were long and boring and we had 3 question quizzes every other class day. You pick your 3 questions out of like 5 or 6. you could answer more for more credit though. Midterm and final have nothing to do with class material that she actually taught when I had her. You need Textbooks for reading and essays.

Just take her. If you're good at writing papers (even a little) SERIOUSLY TAKE HER. We literally wrote papers and took short quizzes all semester. She's a pretty easy grader as long as you do what she asks you to do when writing the papers. I stopped going to Monday's class because there was no point, but make sure you go on quiz days.

Gives a lecture on the first class of the week, with a 23 question test on the second class of the week. While she can be boring to listen to during the lectures, the class was not all that demanding. And if you don't go to the lectures, you can just read the material from the book.

While she is seasoned and teaches the class non-traditionally, she is actually a really nice and funny lady. The political history class is straightforward. You have a lecture on Monday, and watch a video on Wednesday. You also have a small quiz on Wednesday, but it's only one question, and it's super easy. I would recommend her if you want an A.

Professor Fertig is an ancient lady who teaches in a very VERY monotone and quiet voice. She cannot hear well so asking questions during class is difficult to do. She shows videos and gives quizzes, with 5 papers throughout the semester. It is a very easy class, very straightforward but very boring and tedious. There are no tests so that's a plus.

She's really not as bad as most of the reviews on this site would seem to indicate. She tends to teach the course in a non-traditional manner, but if you just roll with the flow, it all comes together in the end.

Great for someone who isn't into history just trying to get core subjects out of the way. Monday class is a waste of time but quizzes every Wednesday. Quizzes not hard at all over notes done in beginning of class. The only book you need is the cornerstones book for the two papers. Give me liberty is a waste of money because you don't need it

She is inconsistent with both attitude and grading. She rarely uses the book and lectures on whatever she pleases. There were only small 3 question tests but the you have no clue where the questions come from most of the time. We just watched videos the whole class which were the somewhat interesting. She talks, A LOT.

I must admit she is old & boring as I don't know what. But her class is easy. Just a simple one question quiz on every wed. & she gives it back to you on mon. That's how she takes attendance. Her lectures are so boring & she talks from the start to the end of class but its a easy A.

I am pretty surprised by most of these ratings, considering they are decent. I had a terrible experience in her class, as did most of my class (should have been an easy A). Her questions on her tests are very random and useless information. Very unclear and all over the place. Not too helpful. She is a nice lady, but I would not recommend.

Fertig is a sweet lady, but lectures are dull. The class is 2 days/week: Mon=movie, Wed=lecture. She uses powerpoints for lectures, so taking notes are easy. Quizes before every lecture on the reading--skimming the book has gotten me by. Only one final paper, one midterm that doesn't have a grade. Buy the books but don't overthink the quizes.

I hate history and this class is extremely depressing, but she makes it bearable. She did the class a new way this semester but if you do the reading and put a small amount of effort in, you'll do fine. She's very understanding and very nice but taking advantage will mean consequences for you and the whole class. Don't be lazy.

While Dr. Fertig is old, and can be kinda slow, she knows what she's talking about. I rather enjoyed her class. As long as you pay attention and come to lectures and reviews, you'll be fine. Also, you can print out all of her powerpoints and lecture notes from offline.

This course is very interesting. Dr. Fertig makes museum studies relevant by using up-to-date issues and mixing them with proven strategies for running a museum. She is a wealth of knowlege and treats her students with respect as up and coming museum professionals. A course well worth the time and effort.

Terrible professor. She never seems to make much sense and cant remember a thing to save her life. She has never seemed to be too much help and she responds rudely when a question is asked. I do not recommend her unless you enjoy listening to a tediously boring lecture.
