This professor is very stern. She is not willing to proofread papers, she is not willing to look over assignments before they are handed in, she offers no extra credit, you can not make up assignments/ or redo them. The course is centered more towards a Legal studies major, the only thing that makes this a TVR course is the First Amendment content.

Comment:

She seems nice but is not open to second chances. The course is online so things can get confusing and the course itself is a little confusing as it is a required TVR course but it deals mostly with law. After focusing your entire college career on the production of media it is very hard to switch your focus to legal matters; she is stern.

This class was actually really fun. We watched a lot of movies and had the minimal amount of work. She is really nice and is easy to have interesting conversations with. I have learned a lot from her and have received all wonderful grades from her. I definitely recommend people to take this class with her.

This class seemed like it would be boring. I wasn't interested in it at all, but it's required. However, now that I've taken it I am very interested in the affects that media has in the legal world. The prof. knows her stuff, and I've learned more in this class alone then other classes combined.

I have Dr. Morgenstern for two classes: Media Writing and Law and the Media. Both of the classes are relatively easy and fun and Dr. Morgenstern is very clear and very direct. She is also fun to have conversations with. She is by far one of my favorite teachers.

Barbara is one of the most genuine and caring professors I have had the pleasure of meeting. She is always willing to help you and will answer your emails. Her test study guides are perfection and she gives plenty of guidance for each paper. Send it to her beforehand, she'll tell you what to fix. You will get your A if you put in the effort.

Professor Morgenstern is probably one of the most intelligent and genuinely caring people I've ever met. Her lectures are boring at 8am, but her assignments are crystal clear and there aren't that many of them. You'll always know exactly what's on a test, and she encourages you to ask her questions and get help if you need it.

Her lectures are fairly boring and pointless but it could be worse. I didn't learn a whole lot from the class but I had done a lot of writing for TV & stuff before I took it. Her tests don't seem to difficult but you always do worse than you expect. I'm neutral about this prof. There's probably both better & worse ones you could take for this class

her in-class lectures were usually quite pointless and there was much more we could talk about regarding THE MEDIA rather than the government. we did not need to spend so long looking at the supreme court or the patriot act (which we didt even relate to the media) also she was really annoying about papers- 60 endnotes, 19 lines a page, etc.

Where to start on Babs..I've had her for a couple of classes and although she tends to be boring, she comes out with random funny comments. She is always willing to help out and she seriously is a walking law book..she knows everything. Tests are easy, lots of work for the research paper, but then again, it is college.....overall not bad at all

Class is kinda boring, but she makes it really easy. Has a dry sense of humor that is hard to catch, but really funny. Assignments are so easy, so are the two tests a semester. Take this class w/ her if you want a relaxed class.

Who cares how boring she is, she basically never teaches. Easy grader and gives very few assignments. She is very knowledgable however and knows her stuff.
