It might just be because I took AP calculus in high school but I found his calc class to be super easy. He explained everything in a way it was easy to grasp the concepts and theories. I understood more about the intricacies of math than I ever did in high school. If I dont hate numbers as much as I do, he almost made me like math.

He is the best person to go to if you're interested in having a deeper interest in Mathematics. This guy is awesome! He will help you no matter what or how silly the question is and he is very approachable! I did my Senior research under him for and I will miss every moment I spent in his office talking about random abstract theory! Take him.

You won't find a more caring or accessible person on this campus. He juggles at least a dozen students at a time during his office hours and somehow manages to help them all - sometimes not even students in his classes!

Dr. Espinoza thoroughly explains things and tries to make them as simple as possible. Intro to Theory 1 proves calculus theorems, so the class itself is pretty difficult, but DO take advantage of his office hours - they will help!! DO your homework - they're essential for exams and are a chunk of your grade!

Ben is a fantastic teacher and made me interested in Calculus! I took calc 1 and calc 2 with him. Go to his office hours and he will help a lot. I've never had so much fun (most of the time, Calc isn't the most exciting thing lol) as in Dr. Espinoza's class. Must take!

Ben is a great teacher. He is available for help and explains stuff well. His lectures are a little long and the homework is very hard. But the test are easy if you study. Best calculus teacher on campus, he got me interested in the subject! Strongly recommended!

I go to Pitt main, took this class here. Ben is a great teacher. The h/w is hard, but he gives you chances to correct them and you learn! The exams are mostly based off lecture. If you show up and study your notes, you can get at LEAST a B. I got an A.If you find Math or school hard here, then get your act together if you go to Oakland

Real cool guy. Very funny. Bases tests off class examples not homework. Homeworks are harder than test but he gives extra time if needed and will help you step by step if you seek help. sometimes hard to understand but in a funny way always keeps class interesting def reccommend

This was to be "Calc III" not "Theory of Calc III". Super nice, but defines everything and explains nothing! His explanations are the definitions. Show me how to do a problem, not the definition behind its existence! That's just me though...

Not the best professor for math but not hard to score an A. Gives about 7 homeworks worth 100pts each. 2 test, 1 final. Not good at teaching but easy to do good on hw if you put the time in. Always willing to help out of class on hw questions etc. Tests are not bad just need to prepare yourself and his grading is very generous.

A very good teacher. Gives examples in class and even helps you if you are stuck on a test. A little bit hard to understand at first, but you get used to it. Defiantly recommended.
