Easy A. Just a few assignments, midterm, an essay, and a short final. Put work into the few assignments that you do have and you should be fine. She is very opinionated and can be rude if you do not agree with her political views but the class is still worth it.

She is a good teacher and a very smart lady but makes the class extremely political. She is very far left and if you disagree at all, you need to be REALLY ready to defend yourself and ready to be shot down. Participation is important when you actually do philosophy and make sure you listen to her feedback on papers because she is very specific.

I never use this website but she is honestly the worst teacher I have ever had. She is rude (especially if she does not like you which is likely) and she will not show up when you make appointments outside of class. She has a ton of work, gives little notice but expects perfection. Do not take her class

She is the epitome of evil. She overly pushes her political opinion on everyone and if you don't agree with her she will come for you. She leaves mean comments on every single assignment to the point where students have went to the head of the department to discuss this. She is awful, degrading, judgmental, and mean. Do. Not. Take. Her. Good luck..

Professor Hanley was one of the most disrespectful people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. I did fine in her class however the way she treats students that she doesn't like is disgusting. Take her class if you want a decent grade but prepare yourself to be appalled daily.

Professor Hanley grades tough and has a lot of reading, but she lays out exactly what she wants from you, and how to do it. Take service learning if given the option, it's a lot of fun to do, and makes writing journals easier to keep up on if you just write one when you come back from service learning. Overall a fun engaging teacher

She is one of the most caring professors at this school. Although she can be scatterbrained at times you do really learn philosophy. Go to see her in her office, she loves to chat. When writing really focus on the grammar aspect of her assignments. The ideas are important but so is grammar. Overall not a bad class and a very good teacher.

READ! No quizzes but there is a midterm and a final in which both are comprised of nothing but essays. If you don't read, you will not do well. Her lectures can be a bit spacey. Essay due on the reading every week. She's really nice though. DO SERVICE LEARNING IF SHE OFFERS IT! You'll get a better grade if you do!

Difficult to get along with if you don't agree with her. Absolutely come to every class or she will hold it against you. Took her back to back and she ruined my GPA 2nd semester. Get someone else who cares about their students if you can. Not nice at all if she just doesnt like you for no apparent reason.

Going abroad for the year. She is a great teacher if you agree with her point of view. If you are a republican, don't take her class. You will learn a lot and every relates to real life. Get help on papers before you hand them in and study hard for tests.
