There are discussions every class, so you will have to participate. He also tends to pick the same people. The tests are from the book so if you don't read you're not going to do good and the book is long and boring. Took notes from lectures and powerpoints and nothing on it was on the test so they are hard. There's a lot of group homework as well.

I took this class online. There were a few group assignments on discussion board and a couple individual assignments. I think 4 tests including final. Book is necessary for the few group/individual assignments. tests are open book/notes/internet since it was an online class. Easy A!

This class is not the easiest to begin with so I knew I would have to work more in this course. He is helpful when you ask questions. The tests are a bit rough but doable. He does not put grades in until the last possible day which kind of stinks.

It's a tough subject & he has high standards. But it's all about preparation: Take notes on what he SAYS, not the slides (they're on BB). Read the book. Focus on vocab & outline essays ahead of time (they have a higher point value on exams). Start studying a week before, don't try to cram! His tests require comprehension, not memorization.

You will learn alot. I thought it was ok for a "union" class. He will answer any questions you have. It is a senior level class. His tests are hard but if you look up vocab and understand it you will get at least a B in the class. He teaches alot of classes so get used to him, he is not that bad as everyone said before I took him.

Dr. P is knowledgeable, sarcastic, and funny. If you plan on majoring in HR Mngt, you better learn to like him and hope he likes you, he's one of the only teachers at this college who teaches this subject. Plan on reading your text, studying and working in teams. Interesting material and professor, but you'll have to work hard for an A.

If you like NPR (National Public Radio), you'll love this class. The study guide wasn't much of a study guide...70 out of the 80 vocab words listed on the study guide, but only 6 would show up on the test. I don't feel like I learned anything in this class. My "favorite" class was right before a test when we covered 3 chapters in 30 mins.

He is a great guy for the Honors Program. He loves to email and he is very very helpful even outside of class. The honors classes were kinda pointless, but easy grade. You can always ask him for help and he has a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend him!
