Feedback on projects helped me see my work in a different way. Great suggestions. Helped me be more creative. Very knowledgeable on hard skills with equipment. Very good practical and creative instruction.

Knows what he's talking about, took into account that most of us were beginners, he's passionate about sculpture, always ask for help when you need it, pay attention and participate in crit (part of your grade and there are only a few grades), try to put his feedback from crit into the next project

Comment:

Seriously the best professor I've ever had. He helps you through your project without coming right out and giving you the answers which is what an art teacher should do. The projects are interesting and will make you think. You can just come to this class and still get a good grade but it's totally worth going the extra mile to make some cool art

Comment:

Dave is a very helpful and knowledgeable teacher. Top priority is effort. It doesn't matter if you are in the major or not, if you show interest, attend every class and show good effort he will grade you accordingly. The class makes use of a metal and wood workshop with welders, torches, saws you name it. A solid course to take to learn shop tools.

David is one of the best teacher's i've had so far. He will help you if you like art. It doesn't matter if you're an art major or not. Participate and talk about your ideas and then you'll get a good grade. If you're a slacker then you'll get a crappy grade.

very vague, broad assignments. he definitely plays favorites with students. hard to fail, if you at least show up for class. attend all classes! not much studio time needed outside of class is a plus! :)
