Comment:
Madison is the BEST recitation instructor. He condenses the lectures short, sweet, and to the point. He makes sure you understand the worksheet every class and gives you credit for it. Almost always get out of recitation early. To get 100% on tests, do all the old files and memorize how to do each one (which OSEs to use).

One of the most caring professors I've had in college. Great at explaining things, and pretty funny too.

The best physics teacher you could ask for. His lectures are mildly interesting (this coming from CS major who doesn't care about physics), and his tests are pretty tame. Definitely not a class to blow off, but also not one you should cry about at night. Teacher has a lot of online help available, and lots of old tests and exams.

Very boring lectures, very dry material. The quizzes and tests are pretty much verbatim homework problems, so if you memorize them you're good. The tests/quizzes are all problems you have to work, but the final exam is multiple choice (you still have to do math, but just the answer is graded). If you get an A on the final, you get an A in the clas

Pretty much worthless as a teacher. Unclear, vague, textbook sucks, examples are on board are poor. I didn't learn anything, but still got an A. Just memorize the problems from his previous tests/quizzes and you should get an A, provided you can BS through the final which is of a completely different format than his normal tests.

He is approachable, knowledgeable, & willing to explain the material; reasonable homework amount; progress is well charted, & accessible throughout the semester; evenly spaced homework. He is passionate about the subject, & treats students with respect. I believe he is one of the university's best professors. I would highly recommend his class.

I just wanted to say how great of a man this guy is. I had a few different things go down this semester (mono, grandfather passing away) and he was very accomidating. I even missed a test and he was going to let me make it up if I didn't get an A on the final (a final=a class). Listen and you will understand, highly recommend!!!

The man is a little bit full of himself at times but the class isn't overy difficult, as long as you look at the example problems he puts up online before every quiz and test you really cant get out of there with out a B.

all the people who said this class was easy were physics majors! the homework has NO point, he never uses it on quizzes or tests. just print off the examples online, memorize them, and poof, you will hopefully get an A. i don't know why he even tries when everything you are ever quizzed or tested on is online. i hate physics.

If you find this class hard, you're retarded. Excellent teacher teaching easy material, you can't go wrong. The final was the only hard part of the class, but it's curved. It was my easiest A last semester. If Carl White is in your class, drop it.

All his test and example problems for class and online, which is awesome. The quizes are really easy, but the tests are pretty tricky and i don't think he does a good job preparing you for them. Otherwise he's a cool, easy going guy.

He is an interesting lecturer if you make yourself go to class. Attendance is a big helper because he explains the concepts which makes the overall picture more clear.

He's easy going, but spends too much time on things that won't help with homework or tests. In class examples tend to be easy, and homework involves things not mentioned in class. Often asks questions to class about easy concepts then glosses over the difficult things. Should teach more to the hw.

Madison is a cool guy and easy going. The class is definitely a bit of a challenge. If you go to class all the time, attend the PLC, and do homework, then your quiz and test grades will be good as a result.

He is a good teacher, and you can skip class. He lectures for a few days, you do homework and then have a PLC in class. It works great.
