Comment:

Easy to follow in excel but when in lecture it is very hard to pay attention. Great with helping with projects outside of class. If you do better on the final than the exam during the semester he will drop that grade and count the final twice. I don't recommend taking his class unless you can follow along with meaningless lectures.

A really nice professor, always willing to help students. Assignments aren't too difficult, but may be confusing to understand at times at what exactly he wants.

Dr. Garrity is the man. If you are a student that shows up to class, pays attention, and isn't afraid of doing a little work, then you should absolutely no problem get an A. You learn a lot of valuable information in Excel and the projects are exactly what you do in class. There are only two test: midterm and final. Just have to study a little

Dr. Garrity is a great guy. But, he gets rattled extremely easily. If you ask him questions during lectures odds are he won't know the answers. He's extremely nice and was Tinky Winky on Teletubbies when he was in college. He's a professor you have to see to believe.

Comment:

Nice, easy, and willing to help. Projects and classwork is simple. Hardest part of class is the tests. Puts all class powerpoints online which is a good base for notes. As long as you put a little time into your projects and study his power points for tests, you'll do well!

Dr. Garrity is a really nice guy. He will help you with whatever you having trouble with. His classes are mostly project based but the projects are really easy. One test a midterm worth 30% of grade. Wasn't too hard. If you like ISB i recommend Garrity

This is not a bad class. 6 projects through the year are your only homework. Final exam is a bit tough because you never have a test the entire year. Don't buy the Access book, you never use it. The other text you only need to prepare for the final. Not worth buying. Lecture classes are super boring. Doesn't change assignments from previous years.

I have read through the previous ratings, and i have now idea what these people are thinking. I am probably going to get an a in the class, but that is after hours studying for the midterm, and many hours of research for the homework he didn't explain clearly.

Yea. bit of a space cadet lol but a good guy. 5 excel projects and 2 exams and grades are based on those. Exams are kinda hard but not though and he's a picky grader on projects. No other homework besides homework though

I'm an IS major and i've taken 215 & 340 through him and he's great. He doesn't make anything too difficult and is willing to help at any time. He can be a bit repetitive but it just helps to get the point across. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for higher level courses.

He comes across not as good in 201 because it is such an easy class, but if you take his upper-level classes he really knows his stuff!! Has published books and everything, and he's super easy-going, cooperative, and a nice guy too. Highly recommended
