Profé was a great Spanish teacher. She was fun and energetic. She starts the class at an elementary level and slowly works up. She makes you participate which I dreaded at first but it really helps the learning process. She was always glad to help outside of class. She was so good I took Spanish 402 with her too.

This professor teaches Spanish like you took high school Spanish. Don't ask for too much help, she'll lower your grade. A girl got 100% on the exam, and got a C- on her first review, and the ones that failed got an A. Participation is 50% of your grade. She's very disorganized, and will tell you to memorize one thing, and pop quiz you on another.

Comment:

Great teacher, very memorable. Helpful but doesn't coddle you, so you do learn a lot. Also very forgiving. If you take her class, be prepared to work in groups, and volunteer for stuff. You don't have to be an outgoing person, just make sure she knows that you are actively paying attention because participation is a big part of her grade.

I love Profe. She's the best and has been there for me to help me beyond the classroom, preparing for a job interview and has written me a letter of recommendation. When I was sick for two weeks she made a point to contact me to check in and make sure I was alright. She don't put up with no mess, though, haha.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Makes the class go by super fast. As long as you participate, attend, and study you will do fine. She is very nice and reasonable. Profe really cares for her students. She really loves her job and it shows. I would take her again.

She is an okay teacher. I seem to have been on her good side. Very energetic! Can be funny at times. A little unorganized. Comes in late more times than not, always with a story to back up her lateness. Sometimes it’s helpful the way she explains things and sometimes not so much. Tough on grading. Participate as much as possible!

At first I thought she was nice but this class is awful. She is harsh on grading. 50% of your grade is 'participation,' I'm quiet and my grade is suffering because of it. So be prepared to be super excited about Spanish and laugh at all her 'jokes.'

I took her for 401 and she seemed a bit lazy. 402 is even worse! She is not interested in students learning, she does what's easy for her. We meet 4 days a week for a reason - she made Monday's a non-mandatory lab day.No one shows up and she sits in her office while the few students who are there try to make sense of her vague instruction style.

If you want to learn Spanish but are intimidated by a new language, take her class! Profe (what she prefers to be addressed by)brings a new style of learning to foreign languages. TIP: keep track of test scores/grades on the yellow sheet she hands out, it will come in handy. Only flaw is she can be a tad bit unorganized.

I would say she's the 2nd best prof I've ever had behind prof Trieu. The only reason she's not THE best is because she is unorganized. But that's the only flaw about her.She breaks Spanish down really simple for you. Make the "blue sheet" your best friend and study the vocab.Sit next to peeps that actually care and you'll do great.I will miss her:(

Profe is the best, no doubt about it. As so many other reviews say here, she is hilarious, she is helpful, and she'll make sure you don't feel dumb. There is no way I can describe just how great of a teacher she is. She makes an environment that makes learning language natural. I don't think there could be a better Spanish teacher.

AWESOMEST TEACHER EVER. I actually wanted to go to class, she is so funny and really cares if the students understand or not. We played fun games and laughed so much. Its very easy to get a good grade, just do the workbook, study n come to class. You'll love Profe =]
