Sellers is one of my favorite professors at BW. He managed to keep an hour and 40 minute class on Macro interesting and I learned a ton from him. Pay attention and learn to think logically about economics and you'll do well.

I have NEVER had a worse experience. If I could give him less than one for everything, I would. He is unclear, unhelpful, and unwilling to change anything. I dreaded going to class but was too afraid to skip because he goes so fast through the "lectures" (Which are literally him reading straight off the same powerpoint he used 30 years ago). AVOID!

Gary Sellers is an awful professor. His lectures are all over the place and he does not explain things very well. I had to pretty much teach myself everything from the book.

First thing you should do is look at all of the study guides he gives you in the beginning of the semester. These awkward questions are very similar to the actual test. You're not going to be able to memorize the answers or definitions to pass. If you participate in class, you won't have to study, which is great for people taking more than 12 cr hr

Four or five tests the entire semester, none are cumulative. All are 50 multiple choice. Take notes on the slides because he doesn't post the full show online. Funny, but easily gets off topic and sometimes doesn't make sense. Has a VERY large curve for the class. A regular D ends up being a C. Attendance is not mandatory. Overall pretty easy.

Very easy class. No homework, your grade is an average of 4 (pretty easy) exams. He is an interesting lecturer but talks WAY too fast. Then he'll randomly get off topic which makes things more confusing. Worse, he'd bring up his personal political opinions a lot (most of which I disagreed with). Not a bad guy tho, pretty passionate and helpful but I'm glad I don't have to take another Econ class!

Dr. Sellers keeps an hour and forty minute long class interesting. He has a funny personality and let's you out early a couple times. I never used the book his class notes cover everything. His grading scale is much larger than normal which is very beneficial because the only 4 grades in the class which are 4 exams. I would recommend, taking again

Doesn't have an inside voice and tends to go on tangents. However, he relates all material to real world situations and goes over main ideas multiple times so you actually learn it. Never used the book, just paid attention in class. He has a very lenient grading scale. Class is lecture with fill in notes and a grade on four tests.

I enjoyed this class. Dr. Sellers explains the material and answers questions in a way that they are easy to understand. He makes a boring subject interesting. There are only 4 exams but the grading scale is on a curve. There is no homework but he does give out study guides to help with the exam. Study your notes and the exam guides for exams.

I really liked Dr. Sellers. It's a tough class, but I didn't find his expectations unreasonable. He is always willing to help. He jokes around quite a bit, but it's all in good fun. He explains difficult material clearly. You won't use the book much, if at all. He made this class bearable.

Do not take HIM! He singles people out all the time and embarrasses people. He expects you to know the right answer every time he randomly asks and yells at you when you dont understand. He says you need to be logical and never memorize anything. The only way I pass his tests is taking my own notes from the book and MEMORIZING the book.DONT TAKE

Sellers is a horrible professor. He yells constantly, cannot teach, gives you a study guide that is barely relative to the tests, you only take 4 tests and nothing else, and i read the chapters and take my own notes because his power points are pointless half the time for the tests. Take ANY ONE ELSE but him. He also thinks he's hilarious and isn't

He is really great professor as long as you keep up with the readings and actually pay attention to his lectures. No homework so all your entire grade is based on 3 tests but all u need is 74.5% to get B!!!!! so i highly recommend

I have no idea why everyone keeps saying how great Sellers was...everyone I know hated this class and didn't get a good grade. He stutters and is unclear. You have 4 tests and that's it so if you suck at taking tests you're screwed. He likes to babble on and on about nothing and then flips out because he gets so behind by the end of the semester.

Sellers is an excellent Economics teacher. Very intelligent, knows what he's talking about, explains complicated concepts in a clear way. You will have to study, but tests are multiple choice. You'll learn a lot. I also personally think he's amusing, especially when he goes off on rants about current economic policies.

Sellers is very knowledgeable and mildly entertaining. He applies the concepts learned to everyday life to help cement them. I think this class is a difficult for an introductory course, but he adjusts the grading scale so you can still do well. Make sure you come to class, take good notes, and read the text.

Sellers is a pretty great guy, and he's also mildly entertaining, but not a great prof. He was rigid in his teaching style and made the tests much harder than one would expect by use of the notes and study guides from class.

Had him for both micro and macro. He is such a fun professor and really livens up a boring subject. The class is hard but his grading scale makes up for the difficulty in the course. If you feel lost, stop by his office and he'll be happy to help you out.
