Dr. Poor is the best math professor! His test are a little hard but you get to use an index card. I would definitely take him again if I have the chance!

Comment:

Great professor to take math classes. Not a tough grader on the exams but he wants a complete answer done to get full points on the exams. Normally the exams are 10 questions. To pass the class you need to do the homework's because the homework's are the study guides for the exams. He lets you use a index card and calculator for the exams.

His class is very hard. He's caring, but tests are so hard. He gives homework, but never grades it. It's personal benefit. He often lets class out very early. I would not take it again because of how hard the tests are and tests are the only grades.

I struggle in math, but Dr. P didnt make me feel like I was never going to get it. He really helped me and gave me worthwhile 1 on 1 time. I have never respected a professor more. Do the homework, its helpful. Dont be afraid to ask questions, hes really there to teach and help. Hes what more teachers should be.

He wants his students to understand what he is teaching and make good grades. He is kind and always available if you need help. If he teaches it, it will be on the test. If it was in the homework, it will be on the test. He is very clear. There is no guessing about what he expects. He is an excellent Math teacher and I highly recommend him.

I have never been good at math, and had been out of school for several years. Dr. Poor did an amazing job of explaining the topics from the ground up. He was always willing to explain things in as many ways as it took for me to fully understand them. He is one of the finest educators at DSC.

Awesome applied calculus professor! Explains the material in a way students understand it best unlike complicated ways like the textbook. He will answer all your questions. DO THE HOMEWORK! It is exactly like the exams. Gives exam reviews which are also very similar. Difficult to fail this class with him.

Dr. Poor loves what he does and understands at a level that will help you understand. His homework is almost the same as your test. Final was long but he does review days making it easy to get an A!

Professor Poor is always ready to answers your questions. He doesn't care how many you have for him because he just wants you to understand what he is saying. He is extremely laid back and doesn't expect anything from you except to get through the class. He is very available outside of class and is really good about responding to emails. He rocks.

He is very old school. On the first day of class he showed us that he still uses a flip phone. He wears flops to class nearly every day. He is funny and a good professor! He makes statistics easy.

Im not a huge fan of Math but taking Proff. Poor definitely made me have a greater appreciation for the subject. If you attend class regularly & review your notes YOU WILL PASS! His tests were fairly easy. The only reason why I passed his class with a B+ was b/c I became overly confident and refused to study & ended up flunking the final.

Dr. Poor is pretty awesome. His class is super laid back but he definitely respects the students. He is very knowledgeable on his subjects and doesn't mind taking extra time to make sure you understand everything. He also gives study guides, and it isn't totally necessary for you to get the textbook.
