About as simple as a high school level class. Only two papers were required as grades. This class is an easy A. He always talked about how busy he was this semester so we didn't do much. Helpful to your GPA, a few great things for writing too.

Pangborn is the worst professor I have had yet. Not only does he never check his email, but he is very unclear about directions as well as assignment deadlines. He is all over the place and doesn't know what he is doing. This is an easy yet extremely frustrating class.

Dr. Pangborn is one of the most brilliant person; I have met at SUNY Oswego. He is very helpful if you need him! As I am an international student from Turkey/Germany I had a lot of problems with writing but at the end I learned a lot . Currently, I am taking classes at Harvard University and his techniques helps me here a lot! Take it with him!

If you want an A with no work take this class, if you want to improve your writing avoid at all costs. This is and english comp class but we only did 2 essays all semester, each under 5 pages his lectures were useless and boring, i rarely attended class and still got an A

Nice guy, gives boring lectures that don't really teach you much. Gives about 1 essay a week that he lets you rewrite if you dont like your grade. Easy B if you put in little effort, an A if you do.

professor pangborn is awesome. The content is pretty dry, and often boring. He gives insight well beyond english that is sometimes irrelevant, but a very nice guy. Use the books and listen to what he say, and you will become a better writer. period.

The class is boring, and sometimes he teaches things that are completely irrelevant. There are two papers and a final research paper, which a fairly easy; however, this is no mid-term or final exam. Basically if you read and stake awake in class long enough to participate you'll be fine.

This course was really easy. Most of your grade depended on one research paper. You do have a whole semester to work on it, so thats pretty good. Volunteer hours sucked though. Overall, he's a very nice guy, very helpful, and understanding of late assignments of legitimate excuse. =]

This is the easiest class that I have ever taken, but it is really boring. As long as you participate you will get an A in the class. There are no tests and the essays are graded really easily. He will also accept late assignments if you have a valid excuse.

For a basic Freshman class he made it very interesing. Definetly shows me that we're not in High school anymore and it is time to think for ourselves
