Comment:

She doesn't lecture, just assumes you know (or remember) everything so she doesn't explain much. All she does is walk you through how to work the problems on the notes. I struggled in the beginning and she was available and helpful but she made it known math should "never" be taught online, which came across as very rude to an online only student.

I am NOT a math person AT ALL. Especially not trig! But this lady has been one of the best profs I have encountered here! She goes through every single step clearly to help you better understand. I can see how it could get boring for people who are more math inclined but I think her style of teaching is necessary for a subject this difficult. LOVE

Comment:

This was the 3rd math teacher I have had at TCC distance learning and she was not good in my opinion. Other teachers offer some sort of support, like lecture notes, videos, ANYTHING to supplement the online learning. Not her. It's pretty much work the homework and take your midterm. Maybe the experience would be better in person.

good teacher. explains things in an understandable way. will explain if you have a question. can be a little obnoxious. Show up to class or you will not pass. Do the homework, it helps A LOT.

Honestly she is a good teacher. Her notes are exactly what you need to learn and very clear. But her being very unprofessional that out weighs everything. She is very smart alec and rude. She treats you like your in kindergarten because high school students get treated better. We had assigned seats.

Comment:

The class (Elementary Statistics) is pretty simple and straightforward. Just print off her posted notes from blackboard, bring them to class and we go over the notes, then you do the homework online. She's available outside of class, Yes, she does take attendance. But she's a good teacher and goes through the material thoroughly. Easy A.

This lady made me dred school. Takes points off for the stupidest things. She is beyond rude and makes a horrible grin after every smart-alec remark. This class is beyond stressful. Why? probably because its SELF TAUGHT! She blows through material so its up to YOU to teach yourself through youtube videos to succeed.

Prof. teaches with authoritarian attitude and treats students like junior high kids. The class itself is not too difficult as long as you have the ability to teach yourself. Class: Lecture, Homework, Test. Her posted notes are poorly made and almost useless if you do not attend lecture. Best advice: Don't take her class/bud up and teach each other.

I had to drop. The homework is done on pearson which is a personal hate of mine. Makes you unrealistically memorize EVERYTHING so if you're not great with memorization I highly recommend not taking this class. The tests are like 90% of the grading which makes homework almost useless because it counts so little. She seems to like teaching though.

After I asked whether or not it would be simpler to use a calculator for a certain math procedure, she continued to take pot shots and snipe at me for the remaining of the semester. Not very professional in my opinion.

Decent teacher BUT she's a tough grader,she takes off point for dumb stuff on the test . She makes rude comments for examples if you come to class late and try to get the daily assignment sheet from her test,she'd say something smart OUT LOUD. Her tests are 80% of your grades which basically means your overall grades depend on tests.

I'm a 15 hour student & out of all my teachers & my huge work load, no other teacher has succeeded in making me want to drop out of school & quit more than her. She is SO rude. HUGE smart aleck. If you take her class, at least make it the last of your day so you can leave school right after and calm yourself down. She makes me HATE math.

NOT YOUR TEACHER IF YOU ARE HANDS ON. She makes me hate this class more than I need to. She teaches fast. She is also very rude at times for no reason. She gives partial credit on answers on the test but will count off for dumb things like a squiggly line thru a theta, or if you dont circle answers even if instructions did not tell you to do so.

Comment:

Professor Tucker is great at explaining things well. She does get upset when students have their phones out but there's no reason to be on them while class is going on. Just come to class on time, do the homework and you will do fine. She'e willing to help if you have any questions and she is incredibly sweet. I would definitely recommend!

She is a decent teacher. She's very nice, seems more than happy to teach, and is always willing to help you out. She does get VERY P.O'ed if she sees your phone out or if you're talking while she's lecturing. She is also very prone to making mistakes when showing work and grading tests, but she will own up to them if called out on them.

I'm currently in her class this semester. She is very good at what she does. She is very helpful. It's a lot of exams, but that's to be expected. It's college. But ignore all the comments about her being rude.. She isn't! She's a very respectable woman. I'd strongly recommend her. She does what she needs to do so you can understand. Great teacher!
