Comment:

Professor Bowersox is a very good professor and is very excited about envi sci and the course material. There is a significant amount of reading and it is a lecture based class. The tests were a bit hard because of the large amount of material that they cover. I like that it is a course that applies to the present and that it felt current.

Great prof, nice guy. This class had way too much reading for a 100 level class though. It was taught by two profs and he clearly knew what he was talking about. Be aware: there is 0 preparation for the exams. You're left on your own to figure out what to study

Smart guy, passionate about his subject. Honestly though, I found his lectures to be pretty boring and often found myself falling asleep. A lot of it was about policies and the political implications of environmental impacts and boring stuff like that. As a professor though, he is really nice.

Passionate. He is so into what he does, and makes his students into it too. I had Ethics with him, and I refer back to the readings and discussions we had on a daily basis. It's a class that will always stick with me, partly because of the phenomenal professor that he is. He sometimes is frustrating to track down, but always makes time for students

A great professor whos easy going, relates well to his students and brings the things your learning about in class into comparison with life around you. Though some times hard to get ahold of an excellent professor whos willing to go out of his way to help you out

Professor Bowersox makes ethics relevant. He loves to say that good things come through pain. I get that now! The readings are hard but worth it. He does an excellent job of relating dense concepts to everyday life--I didn't come away with answers--really just more questions. But wow--heart and mind, science and politics...What WU should be.

Great Professor, engaged in the subject material and understands his discipline from all angles. Funny, easy-going, relates well to students, and thought provoking, he really makes you question your value assumptions. One downfall is he is often overstretched with commitments, and can be tough to track down.
