Comment:
Dr. Crotts is a caring professor. There is about a case study and quiz per week, with the reading for the case studies (which are interesting) being about 8-14 pages each and the chapter quizzes about 20-30 pages. You get to choose partners for the case studies but he grades tough. It's important to be present in class for participation grade.

this class was so easy. you only need the textbook for the quizzes, which aren't too hard. you don't really need to go to class, but you never know when he will write down peoples names for participation. he is really a nice guy. 10 quizzes, 10 group case studies, one easy project, & participation are your only grades. take him if you can!

Ask you to participate a lot in class. A lot of outside group projects, fairly simple though. Heavy work load but its not that hard, common sense and opinion based. Online quizzes are solely text book based. Lectures sometimes are boring. Frequently let out of class early and told to arrive to class later then assigned.

I took this class online in the summer & I thought it was very fair. Obviously it's a lot of reading since you're condensing 4 months of work into 5 weeks, but the Case Study questions are super basic if you read the required reading and theres weekly online quizzes. No tests or finals. Just papers that if you put in the effort you'll be fine.

Dr. Crotts was one of the worst teachers at CofC. He does not let students defend their work and will not bargain with you and he is very closed minded. I had mono and couldnt come to class so I emailed him the paper and he took off 30.

His class is super boring. But it's also super easy. No tests, just nine "case study" essays. They are response papers (usually 2 pages long) to a reading. Outside readings required, plus weekly open book quizzes online. Brings in cool guest speakers, but his teaching skills are sub-par. No final exam.

Not a very effective professor. I didn't learn much and he constantly apologized for "sucking" in his lecture for the day. He didn't grade my work fairly and wasn't willing to let me defend my work. I am a respectful, good student and I got the feeling that he didn't like me and it reflected in my grade.

Professor Crotts is sucha nice man and a good teacher. The class is interesting but you do not necessarily need to go to do well. He posts the slides to all student via email which is helpfull. Tests consist of 6 short answer Q's but you can choose the 4 or 5 u want to answer and he practically tells you what questions are going to be asked. solid!

Easy but very boring. In-class activities are LAME but guest speakers are not. Quizzes (open-book) before every class and two projects are all simple. Final a breeze too. Easy A if you can stay awake. Great guy overall.

This class is very easy. All of the quizzes are online via webct that you do for homework and you do two projects. If you have an 83 at the end of the semester you don't have to take the exam and he automatically gives you an A.

He is very nice though boring. He lectures a lot. No tests, only open book quizes. Attendence is not taken much. He brings in great speakers... some of the best I have ever heard! Take the class for something easy and someone nice. I did learn some things also.

Great professor. I think he is extremely helpful and clear. He has a lot of HTMG experience and knows what he is talking about. People who found his class boring probably think that accounting is fun. He relates all of the material to real life situations.

HTMT 210 was the easiest A I have earned at CofC. Dr. Crotts is a little spacy at times, but his pleasant demeanor and understanding personality make the class enjoyable. Lots of guest speakers, who made the class very interesting. Gives questions for the final in advance. I reccommend him 100%.
