Prof Meise is a really great guy who knows networks in & out. That said, he is not a great teacher, he tends to talk about 2 levels above the class' comprehension, and is consistently late for class. He compensates for this by good review sessions and easy tests which are based directly from his handouts, so DONT BUY THE BOOK. Easy A for the taking

worst teacher ever, came to class 40 minutes late ON A TEST DAY. never understand anything he says, usually can make him self clear. everybody is confused in class. his test are hard specially the second one, always late to class. nice guy and he knows his stuff, but he cannot teach. some people are not meant to be teachers and he is one of them.

Currently in class typing this because...he's not here. He's "making copies and making calls." Extremely easy class, come to review days he tells you what is on the test. Nice guy, but consistently late, sometimes without notice. Don't learn too much

This guy is awesome. He only teaches during summer and winter i think. He is very helpful, and it is impossible to get less than a C in his class unless you want to fail. His handouts are all you need really. If you go to class he will say what will be on the test, study that and you have an easy A. I highly recommend him.

Yes he's often tardy but he makes complex thing easy to understand (even if it mean having to go over stuff 10 times) He gave 3 exams, 3 case study ( which he went over before it was due) and 3 homework. He would help if you ask him.

Easy class for an A if you do your work. Basic Networking. Took him for winter and we set up some mock wifi networks with cisco routers/switches. This was a great class and I always mention what I did in here since I have gone on interviews for companies.

I'd avoid him if possible. His lectures are AWFUL and way too hard to follow. He makes analogies that make the material even more confusing. You're better off just reading the book than going to class. Only good thing about him is, he gives you answers for case studies most of the time and if you argue your grade enough he'll bump it up. Huge curve

Subject matter expert â€" maybe; Teacher â€" no. Doesn’t seem to like questions, HELLO - we pay $1000 per class, & want to learn. Gave large case study assignments 3 wks late, so we only had 1 wk to complete instead of 3 (during finals). Sorry, I wouldn't take another class w/him & I like teachers and learning.

Great guy, very easy, exams easy too. And his explanations are ok. He has a lot of knowledge in his fields so sometimes hard to follow what he is saying. But overall the best instructor i've had! Take him!

He is a cool professor, very easy, but so unorganized (there were times that left the class for 20 minutes to make copies of handouts), has great knowledge of networking but his notes and lectures are very broad, doesn't follow the book, exams are all memorization, no understanding of the material.

Nice guy, unorganized "nutty" professor. He will do anything he can to help students pass the course. Lot of memorization but everything comes straight from outlined handouts and gives good review sheet for exams.
